Goodmorning to everyone.

We had a wild night here last night. Had to head to the campground shower house for somewhat safe place. It's the best we have here. Don't want to be in an RV during a tornado. We were lucky, it passed us by. There will be reports on TV later, but for now, we are watching the weather channel until our local channel gets to the news. On the weekends, all they ever have is infomercials. I think the news comes on after 7AM?

Anyway, we put our slides in on our camper, and headed for the safe place. There were lots of people there with this being the weekend.
Looks like on radar, that we have another round of storms headed our way this morning.

I feel so bad for Oklahoma, gosh they have had storm after storm. Where will it end???

They just showed a report on the storm chasers getting caught in a tornado. It damaged their vehicle, but they got out with minor injuries. WOW, I would not want that kind of job!!

Good morning Vel, I guess we have 2 posts going this morning, I picked the earliest one by the time stamp.

Stay safe in the storms....We were in bad storms last year and rode them out in our camper. They had a storm shelter there in the owners basement but we stayed withour rig scarey as it was, We couldn't leave our kitty. Ken is an avid weather watcher so I trusted his judgement, the shelter would not let the animals come in...( sad) but we were fine no damage, a few folks lost awnings off their campers..(we didn't have ours down)

Today is shopping day I will head out this morning to get stuff for the family dinner tomorrow. We will have the 5 year old spend the night with us after dinner, He gets so bored at home since he is the only one in the neighborhood not in school. All of his little friends are in day care too. so Pa will entertain him for the day.

Uglies abound. I need to get to work, Hope you all have a safe day. We have rain for today and maube a few T storms...XXXOOO

Good morning Grammie, Velda and those that follow.
I cannot believe another tornado has hit again. Goodness! The quilt show was great yesterday. The only problem I had was I didn't have anyone to go with. But, I found one of those display cases that have glass. It was made by a small business out of New Braunfels, TX. It's a place called My Quilt Curio. Now to find a place to put it. After I do that I will take pictures and post them. Today after one or two rounds of Maytag Mambo I am going out to my studio. I did buy some Dr. Seuss fabric yesterday. It was 5 1 yard cuts of Lorax fabrics. The colors are neutral. So, it will be perfect for a boy or girl baby. Have a great day.

Morning all

Firstly lots of prayers and love sent to all of you and all those in Oklahoma, can't believe they've been hit again....I hope you (and your families/friends) are all safe and well xxx although I haven't been on all week I have been covering you all in prayer xxx

Charley has FINISHED uni....YAYYYYYY......she handed her last assignment in yesterday and now she just has to wait for her results of the last 4 assignments, so over the next couple of wekks she should hear that shes passed them all and then we can ultimately relax......shes so funny this morning she keeps saying she doesn't know what to do with herself as she no longer has any assignments to do....she keeps thinking "right, I'd better get on with....." and then realises she has nothing to do......it's been so long since she had nothing to work on that she doesn't quite know what to do with herself

we took her out for dinner last night to celebrate, and we neared the end of our meal, she said "come on, I've got to get back" when we asked her what for she automatically replied "assignments" LOL

me and Charley started slimming world on monday, she made me get out of the house and join up with her, was nerve wracking but I've done it now, so we will see how that goes.....my knees have been particularly bad this week as have my elbows, the painkillers i have for my osteoarthritis make me drowsy so I've not wanted to take them too much so I've been in incredible pain and have really struggled to move around this week, yesterday i had to look after my nieces and their new puppy (he's gorgeous) so I just had to grit my teeth and bear it, but as today is sunny and a saturday I think I'll take some painkillers and relax out in the sun and hope i can get over the pain

Gosh I sound all doom and gloom don;t i??? what a miserable way to start the days thread, sorry about that I diden't mean to moan was just giving you all a briefing LOL

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and you have time to play wiht fabric and thread, I really am going to try aand sew at some pooint this weekend....lots of love and prayers xxxxx

Good Sunny Morning & hot,

I'm still waiting for the call to go to NY & my DD. She tells me she needs to go to the bathroom 3 or 4 times a night. I'll have to sleep in my clothes or on the couch in my ex's. OH, I am so not happy about the way this is turning out. On June 18 she has a Dr's appointment to see when she can start putting some weight on it. I think I'll be gone for a long time(a month)again. I finished the quilt top that was my BOM & in colors I would not use. I'll be giving it to my DD2. Now it will be finish DGD's top. When I go to NY I'll take 2 hand quilting projects.

Velda....prayers go out to all in OK. I'm happy to here you are OK. Those storm chasers must live on adrenalin.

Judi....hope you day of uglies pass quickly. Lucky DGS will have a wonderful time tomorrow.

Jules....congratulation to Charley!! She'll need time to resettle herself. Good luck with the slimming world program I hope it helps with some of your pain.

Suzette....I'm glad you enjoyed the quilt show. I can't wait to see that display case you got.

Good Saturday morning. The grandsons stayed last night. They are 7 and 2 so today will be an interesting day! This afternoon we will be going for haircuts in Amarillo. My cousin is a stylist and is very good with them and then to Jo Ann's for some fabric, hope they still have what I want. Have a great day.

Good morning!

Glad to read that so many of you are safe from those storms last night. It is a beautiful sunny day here in the mountain west. Move here - we only get a average of two tornadoes a year! Snow - that is a whole other can of worms! LOL

Getting on here this morning was a chore - my monitor stayed black! Called my tech - DH - LOL - he came in and fussed for a couple of minutes and then threatened that we needed to go and buy a couple of new monitors - it is now working! Threats do work! LOL

We will be heading down to the basement to work in a few minutes - DH is just re-reading the stuff on how to beef up the joists - then we can hang the doors to the storage area. He knows what needs to be done, but as a engineer, double checks!

So I am getting the uglies tamed -

Good Morning Girls

YIPEEE the sun in shining.. guess what I'll be doing today! If you guessed mowing the lawn, you'd be right! Slept in this morning til 9:30, so unlike me, but I mustta been tired! So far I've only tidied up the kitchen a bit, waiting for the grass to dry up a little to go mow!

Jules..HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Charlie for completing University. What a great relief for her to be done! Did I hear that she has a job too lined up for fall? Close by home? Hope you enjoyed your day in the sun and soaked up lots of Vitamin D.

Kathy.. I think I'd puke if I had to spend a month as my DEX's house! Only way I could manage it is if he was gone and just his wife was there. I hope it works out for you being there.. can you take your sewing machine along? Would it be too hard for your DD to come up to your house?

Velda... glad the tornado passed you by, I bet it is scary being in such awful weather in a camper. So sad that the tornados went right though OK again. Hope it quiets down for you today.

Jana ... glad your DH got your monitor to work! Figures tho, as soon as you plan a new one the old one springs to life.

Deb... have fun at Joann! I've gotten a lot of ads in the mail while I was gone, but have forbidden myself from going there after all the fabric I bought in AK. It's so hard to ignore the coupons!

Chriss... hope you find some good fruit stands. Am craving some really good raspberries, but will have to find them at the grocery store tomorrow...

Judi... I bet I have more uglies than you do??? I should have taken another week of vacation to spend at home! My hamper is over flowing, all the floors need to be washed, the carpet is nasty and there are those dang windows needing washing too! But today I have to MOW!

Suzette.. would love to see a picture of your new curio. I got a magazine the other day will all sorts of great organizing ideas! Oh how I would love to completely re-do my sewing rooms!

Well girls I suppose I bet get going. My room mate it still sleeping so I'm trying to be kind of quiet, but I do need to get some of those uglies done this morning. Another box of fabric that I shipped from AK arrived yesterday so I need to go throw that in the wash then head out to the lawn.

Hi!!! Forget the uglies!!! It's too hot!! The floors can remain dusty even the spots can stay.

I'm going to sew & maybe reglue a quilt rack together. I bought something called Gorilla glue....love the name.

Chriss....good luck with your search. I'm hoping to find a farmer's market around here.

Debbie.....good luck with your fabric shopping. Know you had fun last night..(: (:

Jana....Oh...the computer! I typed a long PM this morning...looked up gone. We all know read at least twice...good idea.
