Good Morning Pals
First of all ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY COTTON TWIN (MEL)!!!! I know it has been a bit rough for you this past week but I hope you take just a bit of time and celebrate YOU however you wish!!! You are LOVED and VERY SPECIAL.
I have no clue what I will be doing beside going to Church and breakfast and watching the race(s). Rob is away for his sleep testing so I finished making 1 pillow and almost got the other one done but decided to use a different backing that I know I have ... somewhere - LOL!!!!
The Twisted 4-patch is FINISHED!!!!! What a project and a learning experience. I know I will never use thick batting again. My machine felt like it was driving through mud. Such a drag which made for quilting that is OK but could have been better. A computer would have been nice on this one.
Courtney call to say Happy Birthday yesterday. Such a kidder but she got me good and put a huge grin on my face for the rest of the day. Such a sweetheart. I am blessed indeed.
I LOVE seeing all the quilts that have been posted. Such inspiration for all of us!!! My Bucket list is getting longer - LOL!!!
Well I am off to bed to read and hopefully sleep but knowing me with Rob away I will be hearing every single sound there is.
Before I go ... I would love to hear your thoughts on cards you receive via the computer vs cards you receive in the mail. Personally I love them through the mail. I always feel the heart more.
HUGE HUGS and MANY BLESSINGS for A BLESSED DAY!!!

Sunbonnet Sue would like to start traveling again. If you are interested in having her as visitor, message me with your address. I'll make up a list, and send her on her way. Lori

Good morning everyone.
Happy Birthday Mel and Teresa!
We are up early to get ready to go and see the Rolling Thunder riders leave the local Harley dealer and ride over to DC. I love watching them leave. I am taking my camera and will post a couple of pictures later. We went to Home Depot yesterday to decide once and for all what floor we want for the kitchen. We are getting ceramic tile that looks like wood. It is beautiful. They have 2 shades of brown and a light off white. We are going with the off white. Either of the brown shades combined with our dark cabinets would make the kitchen too dark. After we get home today I am going to finish the baby quilt and wash it. Then I have to make deviled eggs and macaroni salad for dinner tonight.
MaryZ - thanks for the advice about the stitching on my quilt. I won't be able to let the quilter know because she doesn't respond. Such is life.

Suzette I've heard the Rolling Thunder is amazing. My DH was there at the memorial one year when they came riding into the area. It was very emotional for him. Lori

Good morning all! Happy Birthday Mel and Teresa.

Teresa - I agree with you. I would rather get cards in the mail than on the computer. I always mail cards to the person. When e-cards first came out I did a few but it seems so impersonal. So I guess in some ways I am still "old-fashioned". I also like reading a book and holding it rather than on a tablet or kindle.

Suzette - I envy you getting to see Rolling Thunder. I always watch them on c-span on the holiday. They are such patriots. My DH had a Harley when I met him. It was so "cool" to ride it.

Not much planned for today. After church I will be watching the Indy 500. I got to go there once to see it. It was in 2007 the year after Sam Hornish Jr. (my neighbor won). The thing I remember most was all of the people. After Indy I will watch the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race while trying to get in a little sewing while watching. Well everyone have a nice day.

Happy Birthday to Teresa and "twin" Mel :)

Hope you both have a great day, a fun day, a "cotton filled" day.

Hugs,
Velda

Good Morning,,,It is again chilly but beautiful sunshine, Kitty has been fed othing i planned today except my sis and her husband are goining the group today, Ken and I stayed in last night and the rest of the campers went in to the casino. No one won....not them or the RED WiNGS. We will probably go over later, I am not a big gambler. and it is smokey so I don't stay too long.

Got another row of hexxies done I think I have about 6 or 7 to go. I did buy a really cute purse pattern at t he LQS...It is a woven bag and although labor intensive not very hard....so I will make a couple when I get home. It uses jelly rolls and I think I have one stashed somewhere.....
...
Well I am making the eggs and toast this morning and my friend is doing hash browns and bacon ....so I guess I will get dressed and start my part of breakfast..XXXOOO Have a great day,
