Such excitement! DS and DDIL are at the hospital right now, and DGD is farmed out with friends. If Caleb makes his appearance at a reasonable hour, we'll join the kids at the hospital to meet and greet our new grandson! If he takes his time, we'll wait til tomorrow. Looks like a second Taurus will be joining us in this household. (My birthday and our 40th anniversary was May 2.)

Oops! I thought I was adding this thread in Chit Chat. I guess I'm more excited than I realized! Sorry for the wrong section.

BABY CALEB NEEDS PRAYER. HIS HEART RATE FELL DURING CONTRACTIONS AND FINALLY FELL LOW ENOUGH TO CAUSE AN EMERGENCY DELIVERY. HIS CORD WAS WRAPPED AROUND HIS NECK TWICE. HIS BLOOD SUGAR WAS LOW AT BIRST, AND ALSO HIS BLOOD OXYGEN. HE WAS ALSO DEHYDRATED. ALL THIS IS PROBABLY FROM THE DIFFICULT LABOR. HE IS IN NICU AND WILL PROBABLY BE THERE 3-4 DAYS. HIS NUMBERS ARE ALL MORE BALANCED NOW, BUT ONLY TIME WILL TELL.


Tuesday Update: Caleb seems to be doing well and was taken off oxygen. Today his mom is being sent home without him. We're still hoping he'll be released Wednesday. Thank you all for your prayers...and keep 'em coming, please.

You have a good excuse for being excited! Hope he makes it earlier than later! Congrats Grandma!!!
