Good morning pals
HAPPY BIRTHDAY VINAE! Hope you day is filled with friends, family and lots of Fabric to last the year and more ...

Courtney is back from England so I am sleeping a bit better.
My weekend will be pinning the twisted 4-Patch to the frame. It measures 101 x 115 so it will take a bit to do it but I am thrilled we are at the phase of the quilt process.
I will also be working on my R-W-B Lotto Blocks and thinking about which block to make next month.
The AV Quilt Show is also today and tomorrow but I am not sure my back will let me go alone. I stupidly bent over to square up the backing. Now I have a sharp pain that I am praying will go away with some TLC.

Hope you all have a FABulous Weekend being with those you love and being able to play with cotton.
HUGE HUGS to you ALL!!!

Good morning all,

Just on my way to bed and thought I'd pop in and see who's stirring! I made a batch of Castile soap a little while ago and just finished cleaning up the mess. DGS has his second baseball game today. He is playing on a team through the YMCA. He finished up his swimming lessons and now they are doing baseball. They only have a hand-full of games, but the kids are having fun. Hopefully, I will find some time to get back to work on my swap blocks this weekend.

Happy Birthday Vinae. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Teresa, so glad that Courtney is back safe and sound. Sorry to hear you have tweaked your back. I hope you feel better soon.

Well, it is after 2 a.m. so I guess I better head off to bed. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs,
Mel

Good morning Teresa, Mel and those that follow.
Happy Birthday Vinae. Hope you have a wonderful day. I am hoping to get the baby quilt layered today. But we have about a 40% chance of rain. I set up my table outside to layer my quilts. So cross your fingers I can get it together this morning before mother nature does. I do have to piece the backing I believe. I haven't checked yet. Off to finish my coffee and think about breakfast. Have a great day.

Good morning all Got woke up early this morning, it is gloomy looking out there but no rain is predicted....supposed to be sunny and hot this week might even reach 85 one day. Boy did I ever get a surprise...my camping buddy called to discuss the trip and I was a whole week off...I thought we were leaving the 31st and we are leaving friday. I guess I had better get my buttin gear and get camper cleaned...and ready to go..

I did re make the binding for the quilt but ended up at DDs house helping her with the city wide garage sales stuff....Spent the day there. so I didn't get any of the tops quilted. Today I head to my sis to LA a quilt for her, She wants it a little fancier than she is willing to do. (She will only meander) So asked me to do it...I was going to do it here but it is 115 x 110 and my frame isn't that big so she loaded it onto hers and I will go over there to do it and watch teh hockey game. The men folk are cutting down a tree today so they will be busy elsewhere.

Hope you all have a great day,,,,Happy Birthday Vinae, XXXOOO

Goood morning, and Happy Birthday Vinae!

Teresa - so sorry your back is being persnickity. Hope your TLC helps it get back to normal. Glad your DD is back home, safe and sound.

Mel - sounds like Joseph is having a wonderful summer. How are you liking the soaps?

Suzette - I'm crossing my fingers that the weather cooperates so you can get the quilt sandwiched.

Lois - have a great time at your DD's graduation! Glad the procedure is behind you.

Judi - don't you hate it when you realize you're a week off?! I'm so glad you found out yesterday rather than Thursday evening. I can't beleive Memorial Day is next weekend! My gosh, time really is flying. It was nice of you to help DD out. Have fun quilting at your sis's!

Kathy - hope your uglies fly by so you can get to the fun stuff.

Velda - have a wonderful weekend.

We're leaving in an hour to take two of the grands back to their parents and watch their oldest play a game of baseball. The kids were hardly here long enough to get the sheets warm! After we get back I'll be working on the applique. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

happy Saturday!

VINAE - Happy Birthday!! I hope you celebrate in high cotton!

TERESA - sorry about the back. Hope you're able to go to the quilt show anyway and just take it easy. How far away is it from you?

MEL - I always loved the little kids' baseball games! When you make a 'batch' of soap, how many bars is that? do you make it for yourself or sell it or use it for gifts?

SUZ - OK, I've got everything crossed that I can cross, doing my part to keep the rain at bay.

LOIS - congratulations to your DD!! Revel in the day!

JUDI - SURPRISE!! lol!! Guess you better get it in gear, girl! But in the meantime, have fun with that quilt? How are you quilting it?

KATHY - how about you work on your BOM's and then the rocking chair instead of the other way around. That way, if something gets pushed off, it won't be sewing!

VELDA - hope your weekend is just that - nice.

SHARONA - too bad the grands can't stay longer (if you would like that, that is!) what project are you working on now? I think I missed that.

DH finally got my baby quilt (purple fairies) on the quilt frame! YAY!! Today he's going to quilt it. I got started on my DD #2's Christmas quilt - a king size to be designed as I go. It will be a long process, but happy to be started finally. So I think that will be our day today - and maybe tomorrow, too.

Howdy to all I've missed!
