Tuesday, May 14th
Good morning everyone.
Hopefully today after work I will be able able to get out to my studio. I have decided to add one more round of border on the baby quilt. I just need to see if I have enough fabric or if I need to go to the LQS. Darn another trip to the quilt shop. HA-HA. I also have binding and labels for the baby quilt and the Jacob's Ladder quilt. Yesterday at work the other employee that works with me and runs parts quit. He is from the Philipines and has to go back to his country tomorrow. Something about his property. That is going to be rough at work since I only work 3 days a week. So, we will see how the day goes today. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all! Glad everyone had a great Mother's Day. I am waiting to hear from DS today. My DIL and GS's were to pick him up late last night our time so I told her to have him wait until today to call. She and the boys need their time with him first I feel.
Jana - Great news about your weight loss! Keep up the good work.
Cindyg & Chriss - DJ is definately makes me want to drink, but it is addictive. I also do like to do hexie's. My next project is a patriotic hexie project. I guess this makes me "double crazy". I have never really tried needle turn but it is on my "bucket list" of things to learn.
Maryz - That tip about putting on a spiral on the DJ book was great. I put a thank you over on the DJ thread for you. Now I am looking forward to getting back to DJ. Making my templates are going to be so easy now. I guess I better get the Bloody Mary mix back out. LOL
Well better go get DH some breakfast. Will check back later. Have a good day all.

Good morning.. it's going to be a hot one today... and hotter weather will come...
grandma got her statement for the medical helicoptor to fly her from one hospital to the other.. 56 miles.... thirty eight thousand plus dollars... thank God for insurance.. for that price she should have at least been able to sit up and enjoy the sights... amazing huh?
Judi, glad your mothers day was fun.. we also had sandwich fixin's with some deli salads.. nice of DH to make those airplanes... we have a slew of paper airplanes here too...
Maryz.. I love the longest trailer but didn't know there was a book... I will check for it on Amazon...
Cindyg.. sounds like a nice mom's day for you... and hey, you're almost done with your projects, can I send you something to try for your next one?...lol
Chickie, the skirt pattern is in the Moda bake shop.. it's really cute, charm squares...glad Cole made it to the breakfast, and that your mom had lots of happy faces celebrating with her..a good day all around.
Karlene, hope your mothers day was wonderful... I can't believe your crazy weather...
Jana, congrats on the weight loss... are you following a plan or just doing your own thing..great job... tell Sarah to put that hair right back on that kids head... how could she do such a thing...lol... make sure that little boy gets a smooch from me.
O'Dorothy, glad you had a great mothers day.. sorry you won't be stopping for coffee...happy to hear you are getting back to your old self...
Suzette, your quilt will be beautiful.. you always make pretty things.
Lois.. I have the same magazine trouble.. and I hate to throw them away... I was thinking of getting a binder and those plastic pages and cutting the patterns I like from the magazines and keeping them in the binder.. then I was thinking my tastes change and maybe I would like something a little different in a few years... so I am stacking magazines on a shelf.. if you come up with a better plan let me know...
Cindyb.. hope graduation is wonderful, take sunscreen if it's out doors..
Sherry, so you like both Jane and Hexi's..kind of like being a double agent... I would love to see your patriotic hexi plan...
for me it's work.. and I need to go get gas prior to work..I have a doc appt this afternoon then go get more groceries for grandma... if we could get her to cook for herself she could likely be on her own...
don't forget the secret pal swap sign ups have started if you're interested...
you all have a splendid day,
Chriss

Good morning!
Suzette – I agree – they’ll probably ask you to fill in. Hope the guy’s property is ok. I can’t wait to see your new baby quilt!
Lois – have fun filling your new cabinets!
Cindyb – save travels and have a great time at the graduation.
Sherry – today is the day – I can’t wait until you talk to your DS! I say invest in that bloody mary mix…!
Jana – congrats on the weight loss – I’ll need to go read yesterday’s thread for details.
Chriss – have a great day at work. I forget – do y’all have a/c? We’re shooting or 96 today. Our A/C guy won’t be here until Thursday, so we'll be a wee bit warm out here.
Today we’re headed to Costco to replace this ding-dang laptop! I am SOOO excited. I plan on getting to my sewing hole to reorganize fabric before starting my next project. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

Good Morning, It is cool and a little cloudy here,,,I didn't check the weather. Will head out to the camper this morning and the basement and the sewing room. I don't know where to go first. I have half of the appliques stitched on the quilt top. I need to clean the basement and get Annenelle un covered, But that border isn't going to put utself up in the camper. First I need some toast and coffee. maybe that will help. Too much on the honey do list....
CONGRADULATIONS Jana so proud of you. What an accomplishment....I AM sure you will feel better and better.
Yesterday I signed up to recive organic fruits and veggies delivered to my house... SO now I will get a box delivered each week....I hate going to the grocery store and not being able to find "good" fruits and veggies...It will be delivered friday so I will let you know how it is...
Well the cat is giving me "stink eye" so off to the kitchen I go...Coffee for me Turkey something for her.
Have a wonderful day XXXXOOO

Morning....
OH WOW!!! it got cold last night.!! It's 45' out there now. Must be the last touch of winter.
I need to run errands today. The usual PO, CVS & WM & a stop at the LQS. Yesterday I didn't stop in here because I had so much to do so I jumped in to it. I put the table & chairs together for the patio, put the grill together, put the raised garden kit together...did not put the veg's in I need more dirt. And started organizing/cleaning the garage. I'll finish it tomorrow.
Suzette....OH I wonder what his leaving will mean for you job. Do you want to work more? Try not to suffer at the LQS.
Lois....have a wonderful time looking through you magazines for something new.
CindyB....you are the traveling girl. I95 goes right up by Boston and that's not to far from me. I'm in central south MA under Worcester. Come by for tea on you way home!!
Sherry......so happy you DS is near. I know you arms are just waiting to give him a squeeze.
I'm off to dress & run.
Love & prayers.....Kathy

Re: Tuesday, May 14th
Good morning, good morning,
We had flakes flying in the air off and on yesterday but we are supposed to get up to 60 deg today. I hope that is winter's last 'hurrah' around here. I was going to go out yesterday after work to poke in the stores, but when I saw white things in the air I changed my plans and worked on quilting a rescued quilt top that I added silhouettes to. I have the top quilted and just need to do the borders and get a binding on it. It feels so good to be 'unstuck'!
The college students are finishing up with finals tomorrow and then graduation is on Sat. Then it will get a little quieter around our village for the summer.
David's new walkway looks so nice! He said he has one last thing to do - put up a 'No Fishing' sign!
Suzette - that doesn't sound like fun to have just started a new job and have another employee leave.
Chriss - that is an unbelievable bill for your grandmother's helicopter ride, but I'm not surprised. When my dad had his shoulder surgery last year and was just in overnight, he got the hospital bill and they were charging him over 100k for the one night in the room.
Have a great day everyone,
Karlene
