Hi, found a computer so here is a quick msg. "See you later"
.....................................................
Hi, We made it to my sister's ok in the afternoon. Actually we kind of blew in to the area. We drove in everything from snow, sleet, rain, to awful blowing dust storms.
I drove for a while after we ate lunch and right at the continental divide just past Gallup,NM I drove into a blizzard. Really scary for a while, Rod paniced big time and told me to slow down in case ice was on the bridges. We watched the outside temp on our car thingy go from 47 to 31 degrees in a very short time. One place snow was accummulated on the sides of the road and on the grass already but so windy, blowing off road at that time.
Then we drove out of it, blue sky until about an hr out. Rod took over driving when a dust storm started moving in and tumbleweeds flew across the road. I gave up and let him drive. But we made it ok.
I am at the Cultural Center on their computer so have to go now. Keep smiling. God bless you all today and always. Hugs and love, Shirley and Rod We will be back home sun night unless weather gets bad here. Had frost here last night and down to 26*. It is burry cold here. Ha
Hi, Just wanted to let you know that we are taking a little impromtu trip to see my sister. Everything is fine, just had a chance to go when they are going to be home for a few days. Leaving tomorrow (wed) and should be back in 4-5 days. I won't have computer access while we are gone. So....behave yourselves until I get back.
Prayers please for safe travels and good weather between here and New Mex. May have a chance to see the Titanic Museum display crossing the country. It is in ALBQ for a month and my sis wants to go see it. Sounds very interesting.
I also see a quilt shop visit in my future. LOL One is in sis's little town and a very charming one too. Love to go to that place and I know the owner. Been there too many times. He can find anything if you ask for it. He buys out fabric etc from shops that are going out of business all over the country.
May God bless you all today and all your tomorrows. May HE keep you safe from all harm, bring you good health, lots of love, and hope for tomorrow. Sending love and hugs and prayers for all across the miles. Shirley Mae
