Wednesday April 10th
Good morning pals
Been busy making and finalizing the plans and running to Dr's to go North for Rob's nephews wedding on Saturday. The results from the procedure is adult whooping cough and his hemoglobin is to high meaning he has to much blood that is not getting enough oxygen. The Dr said he could take his blood and give it to me for my roses - LOL!!!! He is set for the sleep apnea test at the end of the month and the Dr is very interested to see what it shows. I worked on my Hexagon's while sitting in the Dr's office waiting, waiting and waiting. Yes I did say Hexies - LOL!!!!! You got me hooked. I have my pile of squares all ready and waiting to go with me on the trip.
Thank you Chriss for the great links to many of the quilt shops. We leave on Thursday for a day of BOING, BOING, BOING from shop to shop all along the 99!!!! Friday and Saturday with the family and then meeting Valerie (Wesignificant) in Vacaville on Sunday. We are both BOING, BOING, BOING!!!!
In the meantime I am working on Linda's McKenna Ryan's quilt and the Twisted 4 patch while gathering info on options to get this knife out of my back. I am still above ground so I try to remember that everyday is an opportunity to bless someone. Try is the keyword. It's a bit tough when pain kicks in.
Jules - You and I are so alike. I am forever getting myself all worked up over something only to have it turn out great. I almost didn't go on the cruise. So please think of me as we take this trip North.
My hats off to Joan (toekeyotow) for figuring out the braid quilt from a picture. I am thrilled!!!!!
HUGE HUGS, prayers and blessings for all of you!!!! I am off to bed as I need to get up early to help Cindy sandwich a quilt. She is very apprehensive about cutting the backing.

Maryq I still have 5 days until taxes are due. I have plenty of time. lol I did get them done. I just need to do one last check tomorrow before I send them off.
Maryz, not empty yet, but much lighter. I've decided to either finish them or get rid of them.
Teresa have a good trip north.
Last night I had my guild meeting. I shared the Buckeye Beauty quilt, so not it's off to Paducah for the Merryman house. I also started putting the rows together on my GFG. It's fun to see it finally coming together.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning everyone.
Just turned on the news and something is going on near the White House. A man walked up to the Park Police and told the officer that he had something suspicious in his car. So now some roads around the White House are closed. Well, that is post 9/11. The washer got delivered at 4 pm. That sure surprised me. I have the quilt for our friend about halfway quilted. Hopefully today I will get it finished. I also have to sew together the binding. Have a great day.

Good Morning Ladies,
Lois, What??? You figured out photo bucket??? I so admire you. I just can't get that thing to work for me. BUT I now have new directions from DD and when I finih the cupcake quilt I will try to post some pictures. We will see.....,
Today, I have a few errands to run and then it is home to quilt the cupcake quilt. I have it about half done. Nice and easy as it goes.
I usually want to get the quilting done fast, but I am now just going slow and easy. Hopefully I will end each day with less pain from this darn RA.
Also, have to set up my infusion in NJ for July. Got June all taken care of..... hmmmmmI better check and make sure the doctor sent in the order to the infusion center there. It is always a pain to get this set up for each month we will be gone. But if I want to travel in the motor home this is what has to be done. So no complaints here.
Just found out that Ann Peterson that lives here and is teaching that Precision Piecing class that I am taking and loving is a well known teacher. She has over 2000 students online at Craftsy, and teaches in a lot of LQS. Anyway she is a really nice lady and a great teacher.
Don't forget today is National Sibling Day. Unfortunately, I am not really close to my much older siblings. I came late in my mother's life and really was raised as an only child. But you enjoy your sibley day.
Off to quilt, can't sleep, might as well quilt for awhile. LOL

Re: Wednesday April 10th
I started my day with a 3 mile walk! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRScb2l4 ... RScb2l4Z4g
I encourange all of you to start walking everyday. Start with Leslies 1 mile walk and work your way up. I feel so much better when I walk.
Today is Tia and Jovanna day
We are cleaning in the hall closet and in the sewing room if we have time. She is also bringing me a few pair of JR's pants to fix. I won't tell her how much I hate fixing pants!
I hope you all have a good day,
Keep looking up!
Vicky

Re: Wednesday April 10th
Good morning to all of you.
Teresa: Have a safe and enjoyable trip. Look forward to all the news when you return.
Carole: Good luck with your trips and travels as well. I had to look up infusion. wasn't sure what kind of treatment that was. Good Luck with all the details getting everything arranged.
Suzette: We have had the news on all morning and have not hear anything so far. Hope that the disturbance in DC is settled down and turned out to be nothing. I have son and DIL that live and work there in that area, so I always pray for their safety.
Here in central Illinois, is a wet and nasty morning. We were watching the morning new and weather from the Quad Cities, IA and could see that the storm was headed our way. All of a sudden the loudest crack of lighting and thunder!!!! Wow, just like a cannon going off. DH,myself, and the dog, must have jumped a foot!!!! Then the rain and more lighting and thunder came pouring down on us. You see, feel and experience the weather a lot more sitting in our RV.
It is still raining now, but the wild stuff has passed on by. We have to go into town later and do our laundry and a few errands. Then I hope to be able to do a little bit of sewing later on. Lots of wind and nasty weather today. Not a good day to be out and about, but we HAVE to the wash.
Enough about my day. I look forward to reading about your day when I return later.
Hugs
Velda

Good Morning!
It's 5am here and everyone else is asleep. It's so nice and quiet. Shhhh...
TERESA - So if Rob has whoooping cough is he contagious? You may have to cut back on some of your activities or altar the way you do them to relieve your pain. Happy BOINGING this weekend with Val!
LORI - congratulations! Sounds like you made some New Year's Resolutions concerning your UFO box!
LOIS - I'll look for your photo!
SUZ - something at the White House? Having just seen Olympus Has Fallen, that could be scary! Glad you got your washer before bedtime!
CAROLE - sounds like your class is a lot of fun! I didn't know it was sibling day today. I'm going to spend it with just my sister - all day long! I have 5 siblings, but 4 of them - this sister among them - are all a lot older than I, too. My younger sis and I were raised together, but we're not close at all. Odd, aren't we.
Enjoying my sis's visit so far. We're going to spend the day goofing off in Tacoma today and will pop into Joann's and a few LQS's. She has a very mid interest in fabric. But I'm "encouraging" her . . .
Hope your day is purrfect!

SUZ, I just couldn't stay up to watch DWTS last night, but Bill did and he told me about 2;30 this morning when we both rolled over. LOL! You're right - I wasn't surprised, but that person gets a kudo for effort!
VICKY - you're right - walking every day DOES make you feel better. I've been doing a daily 2 miles for almost 10 yrs, and I really notice when I miss it.
VELDA - hope you stay dry with those errands!
I have to go get my teeth cleaned this morning before my sis and I head out. Have my eye appt next week and a physical the week after. Had my mammogram 2 weeks back. It's that time of year . .
