Good morning Pals
I am here. I have been lurking and rejoicing and praying for you all but not much had been happening until just this past week other than waiting for dr results and then busyness took over. The Lord has slowly been blessing me with much cotton therapy in ways I never thought of but with time to complete each project without overdoing it. Granted I have a McKenna Ryan quilt on the frame (due by the end of May), one quilt on the table (almost done) and one Twisted 4patch (due by June) on the wall so I have been working on each one which is making me get up and move while fitting in the quick blessings in between like the Lotto blocks and the Cabin Swap. Good that many are not due all at once and not to soon and everything has perfect timing which is God's way. It has been an answer to prayer. Karen told me if I wanted something bad enough to happen then I need to find a way to make it happen. Well I just prayed HARDER. So maybe the computer for the LA might just be possible. Now I just need to pray harder for the body to keep up and to find the right Dr. The fibro kicked up a notch which makes everything hurt much more but I worked through it slowly. I love to quilt so I just take the breaks when needed which can be many at times. I can't imagine not quilting and being a part of my Cotton family and helping friends in town. I started taking calcium with VitD3. I have an appt on the 19th to see the back Dr again and DH has 2 appt's this coming Tuesday to get cleared to go back to work and to find out the results from the procedure. I can't complain as i know there are others much worse than us so I keep them in my prayers always and try to make good use of our blessings.

We are taking a trip up north this coming week taking the 99 to Granite Bay. Rob's nephew is getting married on Saturday with the Rehearsal dinner on Friday. Sew the question is ... Where are the great LQS's really worth going to and who wants to meet me - LOL!!!!

Wish I could say more but the fingers are getting sloppy and I best get to bed and hope that I get a few hours here and there. I go from the bed to the sofa to the guest bed and then back trying to get comfortable. I am blessed that I have all these choices :)
HUGE HUGS and BLESSINGS to you all :) :) :)

Hi Teresa. Sounds like you moving slow, but steady.

I brought my hexi project with me to work, but it's been crazy busy the last few nights. I'm hoping tomorrow quiets down a bit. I might get a few done before work tomorrow.

Chriss I get Quiltmaker magazine and saw all the hexi projects. I was thinking about doing one with half hexis that you could sew on the machine. It would take a little planning, but I think it would be fun.

Good morning everyone.
Yesterday was a busy day. After a trip to Walmart I left hubby at home and went to the quilt shop. I had to get some backing fabrics. One piece for my twister class project. It is going to be a table runner. It is probably a little wide but that is ok. The other piece was for the quilt for hubby's co-worker's wife. I found some fabric at the shop that was adorable. Of course I had to buy some. It is a panel of under the sea creatures. Great for a baby boy. It is Stonehenge for Kids. I even treated myself to lunch. I then came home and layered 3 projects for quilting. The last tractor blanket, the table runner and quilt. I will be busy for a couple days. Last night I found a wonderful saying to make a quilt label from. It is on Pinterest as a quilt label. It goes as follows: the best kind of sleep beneath heaven above is under a quilt handmade with love. Then below the verse is whomit is to and from with the date. So, today I will be quilting and watching the race. Have a wonderful day.

Suzette: I love that verse. Has a lot of meaning. You are so busy!

Teresa: So glad to hear that you and Rob are getting along pretty good. Prayers that improvement will continue. Boy, you sure have a lot of projects going on. I just can't have more than one project going at a time. As soon as I get my April Lotto blocks finished and mailed, I am going to start my granddaughter's cupcake quilt. I will plug away at that until I get it finished. Then I will be able to go to the next project.

More prayers for our whole group of cotton pals. Many for joy, many for comfort, many for strength, many for healing. God knows each intimate detail, so I lift you all up and ask God to wrap his love and care around each of you.

Hugs

Good morning!

Teresa – you have been busy! Have a great time at the wedding. Hope there is good news from the procedure.

Lois – sounds like you’ve had a great visit with your friend. Yahoo on the living room set – where are you going to put it? Have fun shopping today.

Lori – hope those patients behave so you can get some work on your projects in! I’ll have to check out that mag – sounds interesting.

Suzette – it sounds like you had the perfect day yesterday. That panel sounds really cute. I LOVE the quilt saying – I’m going to print that off and use it.

Velda – I’m like you when it comes to projects. Your prayer for us is beautiful.

I need put a bee in my bonnet and head upstairs to get ready for church. After that, I might go to the grocery store – we have another blizzard headed our way late Monday night. I need to make my list first, so I might wait until tomorrow morning. Still working on the black board! Haven’t had a chance to sew the last couple of days. Prayers for all – have a blessed Sunday!

Good Morning!

TERESA - Glad life is smoothing out for you. Are you thinking of getting a Q-bot? Where is Granite Bay? I've never heard of it. What state is it in?

LOIS - what a nice friend you have. Have a great day with your DD and DGD! Sorry you have to go to the Verizon store. DH and I went in one once just to ask a question. They made us wait our turn. There was only one other person waiting. No chairs. After an hour, there were 5 more customers waiting, all sprawled on the floor because there were no chairs, and the clerk was still helping the same customer! I hope you don't have such an experience!

LORI - sounds like you're back on nights. Hexi's are a good night shift project.

SUZETTE - sounds like a great shopping expedition! I love Stonehenge. and that label verse is perfect!

VELDA - I'm more like you I think. I usually sew on one thing at a time. And I almost always finish before I start another. But my DH is my bottleneck. He's my quilter and he's still very slow. And the past few months, he's been very occupied with home projects. I have 8 quilts finished and waiting for him in the quilting room. He needs to get cracking because deadlines are starting to loom on some of them.

SHARONA - I saw you mention your blackboard project once before but didn't know what that was. Another blizzard? Mon night? My sis is coming from your area and leaving DIA Monday about 6:30pm. Hope the snow holds off 'til after that!

My sister is coming tomorrow to stay with us for several days. So today will be some uglies and a grocery shopping trip. And maybe I can get DH do work on one of those quilts . . . . . . . And perhaps I'll be able to carve out a few minutes to work on my cabin blocks.

If you missed it, there is an update on Kathy's DD in the Sew-In section.

Hope your day is sew perfect!

good morning. we got in about 1130 last night. it was a hard trip but made it. DD has a cold and it is cold here. Through Wisconsin the ice was still on the ponds and there was still snow on the ground but roads were fair. we did see several bad accidents and with wet roads it made driving very tiresome. Kids slept in the car and wennt straight to there beds. we did too/
I read some and hope my prayers help/ You all are SEW busy I wish almost that I had brought a machine with me....but that wouldn't fit in the car.

Ken is home remodeling my camper pantry. It was a narrow with pull out wire baskets and the welds were giving out after years of use. Ken is removing them and a narrow coat closet to make a large pantry with shelves and areas for storing out heater and my broom, also extra water and stuff. I am excited to see it.

Well I need to get dressed and play "dolly house" with Sophia. Hope you all have a great day,,,XXXOOO
