Today is friday and Im off I finished all my uglies yesterday

so today I have a few errands to run and then I will be in my

sewing room.

Good morning Lois and those that will follow.
Today I have my Twister class. Everyone says it is easy but it just does not click in my brain. Yesterday I got some more of my Jacob's Ladder blocks done. Making these blocks takes a little longer then what I am used to but since this quilt is for me that is OK. Not much else going on here. I will check back after class. Have a great day.

Good morning Lois and Suzette. I am officially on vacation now. There are some uglies I need to get done first thing this morning, then I will be working on quilting. It will be another marathon of quilting, hoping to get the quilt finished this week.

Good Morning.....

I saw some spring this am 2 robins dancing in the front yard. Plus the lake is melting & there's some kind of duck with a white body & dark wings. Must look it up in th bird book. I'm blessed to say it's an other quilting day. If it warms up enought I'll sit on the rocking chair on the front porch.

What are your Easter plans? My sister is coming over for Chinese food.

Suzette.....can't wait to hear more about you class. It sounds interesting. Your Jacob's Ladder look great. the colors go so well. Crisp & bright is what come to my mind.

I'm at work. There was NO traffic this morning. Even if I were off I'd not be at home. Don't like to be there while Mieko is cleaning my house. I somehow feel guilty sewing and having fun while she is cleaning my house. Last night I started hand stitching the binding to the back of a guild charity quilt. I want to finish it by Tuesday so I can take it back to guild. I'll BBL.

I hope we can all fondle fabric today.

SUZ - when you learn about the lil twister, you can come back and hold a class for all of us! lol! I find when you just get a good start on a new quilt, I"m already wondering what your next project will be. Your JL blocks are beautiful!

ROSEBUD - UGLIES??? It's vacation!!!! Do you know - and I've tested this myself - that uglies WILL wait for you. They will wait a whole vacation!

KATHY - sure sounds like spring at your house to me! Let's hope it stays that way. Like your idea of porch-sitting! We have no plans for Easter. All our family are going in different directions this year and our friends are all busy with their families! So Bill and I might go crazy and play gin rummy or something.

CINDY - I thought you were getting a different housekeeper. Did you forget to tell Mieko? Well, don't forget to take a picture of that cancer quilt! We wanna see!

Well, it looks like today will finally be painting day here. All the prep work and drying in between has taken ages! But I am determined that DH will not sleep tonite until I have finished painting the bathroom! lol!!

Seven little words on the bottom of a form letter with Mos official address made all the difference. In his own handwriting on the bottom of the letter it said "so far so good. Love you all". Sure made everyone's Easter. Just thought I would share a little bit of good for a change.

Good moning all.. it's going to be a great day...

yesterday I used my 50% off coupon and got a cutting mat.. there are 3 or 4 to choose from but I stuck with the green one, I like that measuring grid in the center, but boy don't they smell bad in the begining...

I also got a new rotory cutter and they had 4 t-shirts for $10.. such a bargain, I wear these shirts to work

today is a semi play day... I have a couple of chores to do but then I will sew.. I found some cabins I like and will try them out, I cut one out last night but am concerned it's too small...

Jules, hope you're feeling much better today.

Traci, I took a class on how to hand quilt.. it was a great class.. really boosted my confidence.

Tina, glad you got a good night sleep.. when will you have results of all your xray's? are you feeling fine?

Jana.. amazing how much can fit into a house... is Sarah going to be finished moving this weekend? I have always been partial to Stu, you treat him nicely while he moves all that stuff... don't make me come over there.. =D

O'Dorothy, I think Marilyn only believes in the Easter Bunny, Santa, toothfairy and any others so we will buy her presents... glad your little ones will be completely spoiled..

Kathy, your hooking secret is safe with me...no worries.

Sherry, you are so right about grocery stores and holidays.. once on turkey day I forgot the cool whip...I will never forget the cool whip again ever.

Judi, did those kids get there yet?

Kathy, Chineese food sounds wonderful.. if it rains here we will have a ham dinner.. if it doesn't rain we will have bbq burgers... I so hope its a NON rainy day... I so would rather have an outside burger tthan an inside ham

Maryz, happy bathroom painting.. your Easter sounds quiet... one year we had the same issue at Easter and went to Yosemite.. no one was there... it was so nice to be there.

Good morning!

Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam and the skies are not cloudy and gray! That is what it is here today - we have rain coming - at least it is rain!

Today is play day - Michael is done with work for the week - so we will see what trouble we can get into.

Ethan has been watching too much QIAD with me - yesterday he started throwing his toys, clothes, bottles, anything he saw over his shoulder! LOL!! Now waiting for the hip action too!

Well I am off for a quiet normal day around here - playing with little one and maybe touching my sewing machine!
