Re: Thursday...Sept 4, 2009
Good evening, All! Today I took a break from visiting Friend Lois in the hospital and had lunch with two girlfriends and got in a lot of laughing and catching up. What a great treat! Then I came home and made a pair of 9" square potholders out of Chritmas fabrics in a Courthouse Steps pattern. They turned out pretty nice. Finished my book on tape, a Diane Mott Davidson mystery, just as I finished my pot holders! Now I have time to put together a salad before DH gets home and we relax for the evening.
As to my friend, Lois. She was better yesterdday - IV's out and perkier. However she is disoriented to place and thinks she's at home. She was supposed to transfer to a local care facility today for a week of rehab before going home again. I hope to hear this evening. It will be nice to have her 2 miles away instead of 15 with a $4 toll bridge and pay to park garages!
Today is my DSIL's birthday. He's 41. He and my DD have known each other since they were 6 and 9 and been a couple since 14 and 17. Married at 18 and 21. And still happy in love. It's a joy to see.
Hope everyone's day went smoothly and a nice holiday weekend looms for us all! mary z

Hello....
It so nice to see all of you here to day!! I do not know why we were off yesterday but do you think the 'rules and regs' look longer?
Well we are all still here. We better get to work quilting.
I am going to bed.....see you in the AM....Kathy

FarmChick - I sent you a PM with a Chili Sauce Recipe.
I am having trouble with photobucket, but I hope to post a picture of Becca's quilt. Brenda posted that she has received it. I will get there. I think the file was too large that I tried.

LOVE THE QUILT!!! Very nice job!!! It's hard for me to work with the different sized blocks and do the math. It really is neat!!!
Who are the youngsters I'm seeing in the picture holding the quilt???

FarmChick - The quilt is one of the projects of the heart and was made for Beccasmom/Brenda's daughter Rebecca. Many people sent me 6-inch blocks and I put them together. I made the center square and I also made a few of the blocks that turned into 12-inch blocks. It was fun and challenging to put it together.
