I just came back to see if everyone is breathing.....I just put the worlds fastest Jambalya on the simmer. It is all over. I contacted a moderator and begged for it all to be removed before more damage could be done to our forum. Sometimes gone is better, But if any one wants to know what was said.....I have it saved. Just incase anyone has any doubts as to who the bad guys are. I have the score card safely copied.Ok I have 10 minutes to read here.....

Joanne, while we're on the subject of varmints, you had asked yesterday if the pics of the armed animals were prairie dogs. Groundhogs/marmots/woodchucks are basically large ground squirrels. Prairie dogs are a smaller ground squirrel. The critter with the bazooka looks slim enough to be a prairie dog, but the fat guy looks all groundhog.

Grammiequilts, have you installed your defensive fortifications yet for next spring? LOL!

Maryz.. I would love to see the inside of one of those trailers.... and as for the cat.. thankfully you have one or you'd have an alive rat.. yucko.

Jeanne, a long time ago onthe Phil Donahue show there was a person who wrote a book about ADD and food.. I think her name was Delores Rapp??? anyway, she said that different foods trigger ADD and if they were just eliminated from the diet that the kids could concentrate better... very amazing huh???

well we just got home... we went to the casino... they gave me coupons for $90 in play and they got their money back and a little more.... then we went to see DGD and I told her if she was good in school and on the bus I would pick her up from school friday and I would take here and grandpa to the fair... she loves the fair...I really wish she had decent parents... ones that showed her their love...

soudns like you all had a busy time while I was gone... I also see that Sarah wants to have a sew in tonight so I will be back later....

xoxo

Good afternoon everyone - Seems as if I missed all the fireworks!!

Got home from Church and decided that a nap was in order - Now I have recovered from teaching my Sunday School class - I am enjoying watching my Giants play and reading the doings of the day.

Not much going on around here -
Maryz - I had a kitty that loved me so much that she decided one morning to share her newly caught treasure - a live mouse -- with me while I was still in bed. Of course it went flying as well as her and I was no where to be found quickly as she presented it to me smack in the middle of my face!!! To say the least, she was very put out with me and did not bring me any more of her treasures. I informed her that they were to be outside!!!!

Chriss - glad to here your son is home and safe. Those firefighters work hard!! They also use trailers like that for the Search and Rescue teams if it is a large mutual aid search. Our county has a "roach coach" that is staffed for cooking food for the searchers. My DS said that food wasn't too bad.

Off to help DH straighten up the checkbook that I screwed up by making transfers to the wrong accounts. I botched this one good!!! At the moment, he is growling very softly at me!! LOL

Check in later to let you all know that the jam is on its way to my house - oh yes Chriss - we can get together and share it!!

Good Evening to all!!

I am a spoiled quilter. Usually someone does this work for me(a pattern). I am making 12 blocks for a swap. The instructions tell you how to do one block. I have had soooo much trouble working out the math so I do not cut one block at a time. I am almost ROFLOL!!!

Maryz...how is your friend Lois doing?
SHOCKING, SHOCKING..I would still be screaming. Can you tell I am not a pet person. Did it leave a mess to clean up?

GrandmaTaz...sorry about those migraines. A gal at work sometimes goes to the hospital. There is a lot to be said for using fewer prepared foods. ):):): & Hugs!

Cindyg...in the last week I have been seeing the Christmas word here.
I must remember to sign up for SSS.

Grammie...you are making me want a dehydrator. Everything looks and sounds so yummy. I do like dried fruits

DD stopped by to tell me about a brunch date. Her first since she left
Mr.Extremely Awful. She said it was OK. He eats no fruit or vegs in any form...not even in pie. Shocking!!

Well back to working out my math....Kathy

Hey yall! Sarah posted that we would try to meet up for Sew In this evening. Hope everyone tries to make it.

All I am going to point out here, is that when I am sick, the last place I feel like going to is a Quilt Shop & do good to make it to the Grocery Store! But? Some folks sure have no problem going to Quilt Shops when they are too ill to do other things like follow through with their comittments or honor their word. I have a neighbor that would be on her death bed but she'd crawl to get a manicure but be too sick to cook her kids a meal. That just sickens me! AND people need to be careful about what they tell on the internet. I have never told a soul here this, but I do have a couple of cousins that happen to live right there in Chula Vista. All of my Dad's lg family lives all throughout California. The old saying that it is a small world? Oh how it really is! LOL

I am going to take a break but will BRB.

Hugs
