I planted 20 asparagus plants and that critter ate 15 of them but 5 are growing but no asparagus for 2 years yet. we could make cucumber and sour cream salad(Vinegar and oil for Jerry) and do fried potatoes and ground hog burgers.

I love asparagus!! I planted a bed of it before DH and I were married...and before they matured enough to eat, I had gotten married and moved!

Cukes, sliced thin with equal parts vinegar and sugar and lots of onions...and just a little mayo....or not! ymmm!

Kathy, how did the exam go? hope you aced it.

Dorothy what time is the blueberry pie being served... sure don't want to be late for that....

Carolyn, let Betsy know I am keeping her DH in my prayers

Grammie, we tried the radio thing for the deer... even put the channel on talk radio... it worked for a little while then I think the deer figured it out and showed no fear.... I would be afraid to use castor bean plants incase your pets get ahold of them....

Sarah.. glad that sewing room is cleaned up... amazing how it doesnt' stay that way too long.

Bev.. peach cobbler is my favorite...If I had known all I had to do was say I was craving it and you'd make it... ugh... someday I will try a rag quilt... I love the way they look... can't wait to see pictures of yours

Joanne... never heard them called swanky swigs... are they like jelly jars?

Irishgram.. the aprons sound neat.

Lori.. you are going to wear that accuquilt out....

and now on to page one.....boy you all have been gabby today

Sure, now all that talk about fresh cucumbers has me so hungry for them. The ones we planted did not survive the first couple of weeks in the garden, since we had so much rain then. And wouldn't you know it, hardly any since then? I love them sliced thin in a sour cream sauce with dill weed and onions. Still not sure what's for supper, probably have dh put a pizza in the oven, quick and easy & no dishes.
