Well me and the hubby had our 10th anniversary on the 5th. We were unable to do anything for it because he was working. So we had it set for today that MIL was coming to watch the kids and we were going to Benihana's to celebrate. However got a call this morning and MIL is not going to be able to make it. I am bummed! Was really looking forward to spending time with hubby and a break from the kids. Oh well maybe another time. Now hubby went to Menards to get stuff for landscaping so looks like that will be the game plan for today. Can't sew today still waiting on the part to get here for my sewing machine. Hope everyone else's day is going better than mine. :) Erica

Joanne, thanks for the picture... what a cool school house.... looks like DH is thinking... what on earth did I get myself into... such a huge job to tackle...

Kathy, I am a cheater when it comes to gravy.. I used to make milk gravy with the grease from fried chicken... but I found McCormiks country gravy in a pouch... just add water... I bet Jana's grandson makes way better gravy than I do....

Erica, sorry your day didn't work out as you planned...

I have 7 of 20 sweet blocks finished... and need to go back and sew some more... If Ican get them done today I can work on my UGRR top... woo hoo....

Hi all, a sad day today the Wings lost. But Congrats to the Pens and all their fans. They deserve the cup they played to get it. we didn't/

I just spent an hour trying to corral a baby fawn out of my yard. We are on the river that backs up to the Metro Parks. She must have gotten away from her mother because she was shakey and still small and spotted. We have a fence and gate so we had to keep her cornered untill DH could get down and open the gate. Since we live on a busy street we had to keep her from bolting up the yard and into traffic. I am wore out. She kept trying to get past me along the fence and I almost tackled her once. We have a broken section of fence that a tree fell on and that's where she came in. She was crying but we finally got her to run out onto the river bank where she can keep going and not get run over. Whew !!!!!

I am now in the house and I will start on the basement in a few. I live with "FRED SANFORD" so today he must get rid of the junk in the basement he hasn't touched for 2 or 3 years. A whole section of old papers from the classes he taught 3 years ago. Do we need this stuff NO even he agrees.

I just talked to Dr. Hibi. PepperDawg does not have diabetics. She is pretty anemic. And saw something in her blood that indicated a poison. He asked me if we had used rat poison, because that's what came to his mind.

I am just heart sick, and racking my brain where she could have gotten poison from. She's always on a leash if and when we take her out in gront, or into the park. Our backyard is completely fenced in, and so far I have not even used pesticides for my plants and vegies.

Kathy - could you post the Snickerdoodle Muffin recipe - the cookie is my DH's favorite

I sometimes cheat too with the gravy - McCormick's is great - Yesterday's was scratch sausage gravy - He is learning fast!!

Just a note - I succeeded in posting the pic of the bibs!! (over in photos)

Wow... lots going on!!

I have so much to do, but thought I'd pop in. Washed my Dad's log cabin quilt, hung out to dry-- and posted the picture. Now am going to do the binding for an irish chain, and hopefully play a little with an idea playing around in my head....

See ya later!
Liked the picture of the old school, and the hikers-- I definately need to get out more!!!

Dr. Hibi just called us back, he has been in contact with other specialists. PepperDawg has an electrolyte imbalance, especially Potasium. We're on our way back to the Doc. where she will be placed on IV fluids, more blood work to check for Addison desease?

I pray and hope that I DO get to bring my Baby back home again.

Good afternoon,

I slept late, but will make up for it by sewing late tonight.

T - I will keep fingers, toes and everything else crossed for Pepperdawg.

Kathy - I knew about milk gravy since I'm originally from KY. Mother could not make gravy to save her life, Dad could but often worked late soooo he taught me to make it. Still can make a decent one.
However, I had never heard of biscuits and gravy until I moved to Ohio. I now consider it one of the four basic food groups. I can't eat as much anymore, but truly enjoy what I can.

Joanne - The schoolhouse is amazing. Is there some major event at the showground during the year? I know DH would love it. Your DH deserves some type of award for this wonderful project.

Well, I,m gonna try to get DH to take his nap to the bedroom. He's snoring on the oouch and disturbing the dogs. LOL

Probably bbl

quiltnewby..Nothing looks as good as a quilt drying on the line! Then it smell sooooo good.

Before I start hemming the binding I will go look at the pictures.
