Good afternoon all.

Don't think I have been on this week. Have read the posts, just a lot going on here.

We have had rain all week. Just got more this afternoon and the water is still on the lawn. I feel sorry for all that in Fl. that have water in their homes. Pretty bad north of here. Here we have just about as much as the ground will take. Hear that tomorrow more rain. The other day coming home from Wal-Mart it was rainning so hard that had to drive by the white lines in the road. And, the poles along side of the road. Was thinking that I left that back in NY. There it was snow not rain. I hope that the rain stops soon, I don't have a dryer and because of the rain have not been able to do any wash.

Made my trip to Joann's today. Sale going on and another 10% off the total sale. Got the batting and backing for GS3 quilt. I should have it ready for longarm quilter next week. Got fabric for GS4 quilt. Will cut that out this weekend. Got the fabric for Hatchet block and will have that ready to put in the mail Tue. So I think that I will be busy this holiday weekend.

Everyone that is not feeling themself my prayers are with you. For everyone have a great and happy holiday.

Chriss I saw your flying geese, they look good.

Chriss, I think your block looks *great*. Good job on the applique. It made my mouth water, and reaching for a spoon to spoon up some of that really yummy looking icecream.

It is not too big, and not too small, it is Purfect.
Dorothy I'm so sorry to hear about all that flooding going on.
I wish you lived closer by, i would let you use my dryer.
BTW, I have an old fashioned clothes drying rack that you can place ANY where, either inside or outside the house.

If you want it and can use it, please PM me your address and I'll send it too you. I used it when I was out of a dryer AND washer. I washed a few pieces each day and dried it on this rack. It is colapsible for easy storage. I also have the wooden clothes pin for it if you need them.

I have ALL laundry done. Jeff did the dishes. And I have '15 beans' soaking to be able to toss ino the crockpot before we leave for a Memorial BBQ tomorrow. In the mean time I pulled a crockpot meal out of our freezer to thaw out for dinner tonight.

I have a gazillion fabrics to make more quilt tops. I also have a stack of quilt top waiting to be quilted.

I should take pictures of my ever growing vegie 'garden'. How did THAT happen? They're about 1 feet tall. Green onions, yellow squash, tomatoes, snap beans, and bell pepperes. Bell peppers are blooming. Am I suppose to pinch a few blooms off the bell pepper plants to promote the size of the others? ALL aphids are gone from the roses and the Hibiskus.

The snails moved to my Hawthorn bush now, and they'll be given a shallow dish of beer tonight.

Memorial day weekends are usually very special to me and our 3 oldest boys. I'll write about that some time next week. A few years ago I submitted a paper to the college I was attending and received an A on that paper.

I am wishing all of you a happy and safe Memorial day weekend.
It pays to be kind to one and another.

Chriss your block is so cute, I had the same problem with holes. was told to use a finer needle. I steamed the block and that seems to help the holes go away. I finished the true blue How Charming quilt I decided to take it to my Sis's tomorrow to LA it. I just meander so I can handle that. Last week I practised making leaves and swirrles. I also have one more flower bed to do, and a fence line. And NO my windows are NOT all done. Too much fun.....
