It is 0 now but we are going to get up to 11!!!!
Very chilly, last night I put another quilt on the bed. I now have three quilts plus some blankets

My bedroom is the coldest in the house.
I'm going to let the girls drive to their cleaning job this morning alone (biting my nails!) Then I'm going to pick up here and and break out the machine and start some star blocks for Shakespeare. I had Em pick all the colors out of my blue stash and away I go! This is going to be fun.

Good morning all, They say its -3 here in Cincinnati. I would have to agree with them. I bundled up with my longjohns, a sweater, my hoodie jacket and I also have on my coat right now waiting for it to warm up in here at work. I did take off my 2 pair of gloves and my scarf. Feels like Alaska. YUK!!! This is the reason I don't live any more north than I do. I have a friend that lives near Lake Erie and she loves it. Not me. Give me sunshine and warm air.
I am going to go to work now and keep moving so I can keep warm. Girls, have a great warm day.

Good morning everyone. When I got up and went to make coffee it was 59 in my house. We are trying to do everything to watch the power bill. BUT. . . I wouldn't go out today but have 2 errands to run and then I will stay in and quilt. Have a great day.

Well Good Morning ladies...
sounds like it is cold on your side of the map... I have never lived in the snow...and complained when the one inch we got stayed on the ground for several days...but I would think that no matter how many layers or how warm your coat is you wouldn't want to walk a few blocks... someone said yesterday it hurts to breathe because of the cold... I just can't imagine it.
I am so glad it's friday... DGD and her mom will be staying with us for a little while to get on their feet....
and I plan to sew this weekend... I need to get my projects from the heart caught up and my UGRR block...then today the barn blocks should be posted for the block party, I am really excited about that and look every 10 minutes to see if the fabric kit has been put up for sale....
I sure hope you girls all have a great day,
Chriss

It is -5 here in kentucky this morning and I went out to start my car. It started smoking so bad and smelled like it was starting on fire and was making a loud screeching noise. I shut it off and came back inside. I had my oil changed last night and it was running fine after that. I had to call in to work and my DD can't get to school today. I am afraid to start up the car again. This is about all I need with a whopping total $80 to get me through the next 2 weeks right after pay day. "YUCK". I guess I will need to call my insurance company to see if I can get it towed. Hopefully I have a tow clause in my policy and won't have to pay for that. What a way to start the weekend.
I may as well go downstairs and finish up the curtains I have been making.

Good Morning, Ladies..
Said it was 6' here when I got up about an hour ago. Gathered up trash real quick, so hubby can take it out & put the can out on the road, before he heads to work. We will only hit the low 20's today, he is only working till noon, then wants us to go out & meet some of his work buddies, after they get off work, for a little farewell get together for a co-worker. Yikes, I don't even want to leave the house when it's this cold, let alone for a beer, lol! Hoping he changes his mind later, I just want to stay home & war!
Worked some more on my quilt border yesterday, got a side half done, one more to go, then this half is ready to sandwich! Not sure if I will go ahead & do the other half, then proceed, or what, but most likely, then this part will be over. Doing this border all pieced & scrappy so it's taking time, but like how it's looking!
Going to take a nice warm when DH gets gone, then not sure what, either quilt, or some housework, ugh, lol, maybe I will hide & quilt, lol!
Have a great Friday everyone, & stay warm & safe!
Nancy....

Good morning from southern California! I'll try not to comment on the weather...wish y'all could come out and enjoy some with us!
Yesterday my youngest was feeling antsy and wanted to go "somewhere", but it was getting late in the afternoon and time was short. Once she is up, we will discuss possible adventures for today.
It's payday.....thank goodness!

Good morning to all. Another "frosty" day here, some of the windows even have frost inside....brrrrrrrrrrr. Can't wait to see the block party today, how many more hours to go? Not sure if I'll make it into work today, my tummy isn't the best. Could be from lack of sleep this week? Hope that's all it is. Wishes for a good day for all.

Good morning all. Up early to go to work. Will likely get some sewing in tonight as DGS is at his Mom's until tomorrow morning. Planning on some sewing this weekend too.
I am so sorry for you girls trying to weather (no pun intended) this massive cold in the mid west. My DS is in S. Dakota and he is getting some bad weather there.

I will not complain about our high of 40* today. Y'all be careful if you have to go out.
I DVR all of El's shows and I am way behind in watching them so that's what I did last night until Gray's Anatomy came on. I'm determined to get in my sewing studio tonight. I want to finish the tote bag I'm making for my sister. We are eating at home tonight so all I have to do when I get home from work is cook the spaghetti and heat up the spaghetti sauce. YIPPEE!!
Brenda - look under your car and see if there's oil. I had my oil changed one time and they didn't put the plug in all the way and oil went all over my engine (smoke) as I was driving and leaked on my driveway under the car. If your car problem is caused by the oil change people, call them and make them tow it and fix it.
Y'all have fun sewing today or whatever you do.
