Woke up with a nasty headache this morning so I'm working on a big cup of coffee! I'm all wrapped up trying to keep warm...it's about 42* out there...Big time BRRRRRRR to me. I keep it about 65* in the house and it seemed the furnace ran all night. Think I'll close off the living room, run the little space heater and sew all day!

DH is off to his bonsai meeting this morning so I can start sewing early today, plus there are a few basketball games this afternoon.

I bought myself a present the other day. A Navigon 5100 Max GPS. I figure the kids can tell us how to work it!

Suzette58, What pattern are you using for your Batiks?

Susan, I love eggs, but not enough to keep chickens again! <grin>

Good Morning:)
Well Susan's message is so cheery..... I've been up half the night thinking about a wall hanging I want to do (completely ignoring my UFOs), for work - kind of a valentines theme. Tried one pattern that gave me a hard time, so I'm trying one that zfatcat posted. I was still awake at 2 this morning, and it's cloudy and cold out this morning-- will be pumping a LOT of coffee while I try this:)

I'll be checking in through out the day-- have a good one!

Good Morning Gals!!

It's a bright sunny day in Minnesota, but you wanna talk about cold!! Temp is 1 that's one degree above zero!!

As I look around my messy desk, I kmow what I have to do today CLEAN!!!! But only a little bit because I do have sewing projects I want to do today!

Not sure which project to do first, I have so many ideas in my head and my list on paper is long too!

Here's the list:
1. finish a tote bag I started
2. put together the backing for that rose quilt top I have done
3. Start a valentine table runner for BFF--want to try The Lover Knot from El's book, just have to remember where I put the book!

I'm sure there's more, but I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning to remember them!! LOL

Hope you all have a wonderful productive sewing day!

Going to finish putting together another Carpenter's wheel block. Need to find some more Kansas Troubles for a class I am taking at the end of the month and some florals for the floral swap. Laundry to do, bills to pay. I really gotta go through DGS room as he can't find his glasses and didn't tell me for 3 weeks so God only knows where he lost them. I want to make sure they aren't like behind the bed or dresser or wherever before I replace them. His script is really expensive.

The sun is bright here, but it was well below 0 when we got up.

I have no sewing projects going now. I should pick up from Christmas projects.

Good morning everyone!

Woke up to howling winds and a chilly temp. It isn't very cold but that wind cuts right through you. I was driving DD#3 to work and could feel my little car getting tossed around by the wind.

I am working on a piano key border for a scrap quilt I am making. I hope I can get it done by this evening since I am "home alone" without any distractions.

Good morning all. I was up in the wee early hours for a potty break, and the big dog wanted out. He went out and laid just outside the door and proceded to eat some snow. Of course the motion light was on so the rooster started to crow. I should explain the big dog has a heavy coat and gets very hot, snow is just a joy to him. He had a bowl of water which he drank some before I sent him back up to bed. My piano lessons were cancelled because of the weather, so I am going to work on some pillow cases, and I have some things I want to get in the mail.I have a dishwasher full of clean dishes, and a sink full of dirty ones-ok-two sinks,so I will do that first. Sandy, off to clean, and then sew-and some piano practice too.
