Wednesday, January 7th

Post by Georgiapeach » Wed Jan 07, 2009 1:48 am

Good morning! I'm going to finish the Seminole border on my youngest son's quilt today. We're expecting lots of rain again today, so it's a good day to sew. It's also a good day to read and nap, but I'm going to try and stayed focused on finishing this quilt! LOL!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning. We have the same weather as Pam. Rain. I would rather be at home sewing or reading. But, I am at work. After my husband goes to work this evening I'll get to work on our quilt. Have a good day everyone!

I am working a quilt that is made of batik squares (6") and along one edge it has a band of smaller squares if different batik prints. Lots of cutting!

We had an ice storm last night and it's suppose to snow on top of it. All schools in the area are closed. DD was going to take her driving test again today. I'm waiting until 8:30 to call and see if it has been canceled too.

I HAVE to get something out and work on it today. I've spent a lot of time looking at books and quilting magazines lately. That isn't good cause it just adds to the list of things I want to make!

Have a great day,
Vicky

Good morning!

Pam, stay dry and stay focused. I have never tried a seminole border, another notch on my "to do" list.LOL

Me, careful on your way to work.

Suzette, have a great day at work and good luck on the sewing tonight.

Vicky, have a great day picking out something to work on. Hope your DD's test has been cancelled if there is ice on the road, if not, good luck to her.

I am paying bills today and have a couple of errands to run before I get to start sewing.

Oh, what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day.....(singing).
The sun is shining and it's about 35* but will get up to 68* later today. I'm at work and this evening I have dinner and choir rehearsal at church so there will be no sewing for me today.

Pam, rain or shine, it's always a good day to sew (or read or take a nap).

Me, it's like spring here today but we will get more cold on Saturday with rain - UGH!

Suzette - what quilt are you making?

Momof6 - I bet your DD would like to get that test over with. Let us know what you decide to work on.

DewDew- I have a couple of bills you can pay if you run out of your own - LOL.

Everyone have a great day!

Good Morning, everyone! It's about 35 deg. and snowing!! Sticking a little on the grass, but not the roads--my favorite kind of snow. It's so pretty!!!

I have to make a little trip to the post office and to the grocery for just milk, eggs and lunchmeat. It's only 5 blocks away, so no worries about the roads. THEN I will be able to sew!!!!!!!

DH and I shopped almost all day yesterday. He's collecting small pieces of leather and jewelry parts to make harness for his horses and stagecoach project. Of course, that meant trips to Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and JoAnns!!! YeeeHawww!! He also bought a book at Border's on horses...trying to find pictures of horses with harness on..having trouble finding a good picture. He's looking for the detail.

Gotta run and finish packaging my Secret Pal package!!! I won't rest until it is in the mail...

Ya'll have a great day!

Today is our weekly homeschool park day, so I don't know if I will get any sewing time in or not....really ought to clean for a while....not feeling terribly motivated to do that!

I tried to be good yesterday at work and used the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator....and my butt muscles are sore! I guess I do still have some muscles back there after all...flab can't ache! LOL

Inspector comes this morning to check the foundation dig...then it's full steam ahead with pouring concrete...then a 2 week wait for it to cure...<tap, tap, tap, tap>...

MORNING...Joanne you will have to post a photo of your husband's project. My D rents an apartment from one of the teachers that I work with and her husband is a saddler. Making harnesses and saddles is hard work!

Well the dishwasher just shut off so it is safe to go jump in the shower ta ta talk to everyone later I am off to work...but it is Wednesday and school is out for 1-8th grade at 12:20 on Wednesdays. Kinder stays until 1 so I work with the littler kids today :)

Morning Gals!

Those out & about, please be careful! Those hunkered down, enjoy!

I woke up to a beautiful snowfall. There's a thick layer of ice under it, but it's still pretty.

I just finished riding my bike & doing my ball. I always feel great when I'm done with that--endorphins. The Girls have gone koo koo cracker outside & ran themselves silly & tired. Now to shower, get my laundry moving & SEW!!! Woo hooo!!!!

Joanne, I'm very interested in your DH's project. It sounds super cool!

Carol--building a house?

Good luck on your border Peach! Keep us posted on your progress?
