Good Morning. It's still dark outside here. I always look forward to watching the sun rise. Our temps for today will be around 60* and sunny.

I have no real plans for today.

We have 24° here this morning. We go clean for an eldery woman this morning. Then we need to start cleaning the house as church is here this week. That means I have to pick all my sewing stuff......again :-(

Good morning!!

I am not sure what the temp is, I just know that the heater is running.LOL

DH and DD#3 are going to the range later this morning so I will be spending the afternoon alone. I already started the laundry and I have to start putting away all the Christmas decorations today.

I finished quilting my Valentine wallhanging and I have a rag quilt that is all cut out and ready to sew. Then there is the ever present kalidescope quilt that needs it's last border so that I can load it on the HQ. I preshrunk my batting so that it wouldn't have that crinkly(sp?) look after it is washed.

Have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone,
My all of you are up early. I am sewing a couple small projects this morning and will be trimming more of those Birds in the Air Block. I am glad for the Stashbusters (Swaps) it is making me stay focused. I feel like I accomplished something yesterday for the first time in many weeks.

Good morning everyone! I've read the sew-ins for awhile, but this is my first time writing in on it.

It is still pretty windy here in western NY but like Vicky said, it is warmer the the past 2 days - strange when the 20's are balmy, but compared to single digits they really are!

I have to take down my christmas things today also. DH is out so that will give me some space to do it my way. I love the man, but he tends to do things in the quickest way while I want to pack everything away 'just so'. He will be a great help though when it comes to carrying everything back out to the barn - the joy of an old farmhouse - there is hardly any storage space inside so seasonal things are kept in the barn!

Hey Vicky, I read yesterday about your suffering with IBS. I've had that for years and stumbled upon something a few years ago that has really helped - peppermint Altoids. I've heard that peppermint helps soothe the digestive system, and a friend told me that Altoids were originally made to be like Rolaids. So, if I have problems, I start popping them and it has been quite awhile since I've had a bad bout. I just read in a recent issue of Reader's Digest that confirmed peppermint is a natural remedy with many stomach ailments including IBS. When my system starts feeling sour, I sometimes pop 4 altoids every half hour until the 'fire' dies down. I guess there is no overdosing on them, and they are much cheaper than any other medication, over the counter or by prescription. I don't know how it affects an ulcer though.

Well, I better get going with these boxes.

Good morning all! Its trying to be sunny, so hopefully that will warm us up. Its been about the 50's this week, nice enough to open a south-facing window. I have a big list of things to do, realized I stopped making lists and stopped staying organized. Who knew those were related!

Then, hopefully, finishing up some blocks I started earlier in the week.

Stay warm!

Good morning everyone.
It was only 4 degrees when I got up this morning and the walk for the paper certainly was quick. Burrrrr! At least the wind has calmed down. Going to strip the Christmas tree and get cleaned up today then off of to Cabella's to get new boots with my gift card I got. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning all.

Tul, hope you are feeling better....

Karlene, my DH doesn't do things my way either... when I work I have a clean safe work area... he trips over things... it never fails, I will find pliers, hammers and tape measures all over the house.... wouldn't want to put them away or anything....lol...

and as for the pepermint.... my grandma had a pepermint plant and when we would have upset stomaches she would make pepermint tea boiling the leaves in water.

I am going to the post office today to send my blocks to GP and if I have enough extra gifts in my closet I will get my SP gift ready and send that too....and finally I will try and get a baby quilt started and move on to my UGRR block....

hope you all have a funfilled day,
Chriss
