Re: Happy tuesday 12/30
Today is my family Christmas! 4 of my 5 siblings (plus their families) will be at my parents home. They will get to meet my future (hopefully 2 years down the road, want them to get some college completed first) daughter-in-law too. This was going to be the Christmas of quilts but too many things became obstacles this year, so 2009 has already been planned out! It is a beautiful cold day, the presents are loaded so I guess we better get on the road. Everyone have a wonderful day! Lori

Good Morning everyone!
It's supposed to be 50 deg. today again here in SW Ohio, so a pretty nice day.
No sewing today for me. I'm making BBQ and coleslaw for New Year's Eve. Every year we host a "Bingo" party for anyone in the family that wants to come. Everyone brings $1 gifts in the small brown lunch bags and puts them under our tree. Then we play Bingo until they are all gone (which is usually close to midnight). We don't drink and that's why alot of the family come here on New Year's Eve...they can bring the kids and have a fun evening.
DH and I spent all day at the Mall yesterday! (Groan!) I re-stocked my sewing supplies at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's, ate at Bob Evan's (YMMM!)and went to Meijer's for food supplies.
I would rather be sewing today....maybe if I can cook REALLY FAST, I'll have time!! lol!
Ya'll have a wonderful day!

It's only 54* right now but supposed to get up to 75* today.
I hope to be able to applique a bit on El's Applique in a Day blocks.
Lori, Enjoy being with your family and making memories. My kids are in their 40's and I love hearing them say, 'Remember when....'
Joanne, Playing Bingo with your little gifts sounds like the way to go for family time on New Year's Eve. One of my DD's has all her in-law's over for Christmas on the 24th (42 showed up this year) and they play Bingo with lottery tickets. Everyone brings 2. At the end, they make sure everyone has a ticket and then they scratch. One of my grandson's won $10.
Chriss, Enjoy your 'candy store shopping'.... @:)
I hope everyone has a wonderful day......

I'm going to try and finish up the DGK's pajamas today. They should've been done by now but life got in the way. If I should get them all finished and still have time to play in my sewing room, I think I'll start on one of my ufo's. I hope everyone has a great day!!

The bingo game sounds like loads of fun, especially with such a large number of people.
We will be spending New Years at the home of some friends and a small group of other guests. We usually go late in the evening and stay until around 1:00 am and then head home. It is a family gathering so everyone brings their kids and that is why we like going there.
I have to go drop off my DD#3 at work and then I am on my way to the grocery store this morning and then cleaning up around the house. Maybe some sewing later on today.

Good Morning
That Bingo game sounds like a lot of fun, what a great idea.
I went to the fabric store yesterday and believe it or not did not buy a single thing. Even my Mother was amazed and she doesn't notice much anymore. LOL However, after looking at my stash there was one particular fabric I am going to have to go back and get a few yards.
I am going to shampoo the carpet this morning. After all this snow, 4 dogs and 5 people the carpet looks a little sad.
Lori have fun with your family today
