Yes, cooking, well, baking pies today. I will be sewing some. Believe it or not I started a bag for my daughter last night. This one doesn't have HOLES in it I just put a pocket on the front. She asked for a cookbook for Christmas so I bought her The Better Homes and Garden Cookbook and I'm going to put it in the bag. I have to put the handles on and binding around the top today.
We also have to pick up around here and fold laundry. You can REALLY tell when I've been sewing a lot!

Well DH does the pies and will do that today, I have to work... tomorrow I will make the snacks.... veggie tray, cheese ball, and those deviled eggs.... and maybe chop stuff up for the stuffing.... and make sure I have everything I need
Tomorrow DH will put the turkey in the oven and get out of my way... there will only be 8 to 10 of us so it won't be too bad....
hope you all have a wonderful day
Chriss

Good morning! I have a funny story. Last night I asked my husband had he checked on the turkey. It was in our extra frig. He didn't hear me. So, I went out to check it myself. It was still frozen solid. Thank goodness for cold water. So, the turkey should be thawed by tomorrow morning. Will make pies and mix up the sausage stuff for sausage balls this afternoon. May squeeze in some quilting.

Sewed my little fingers off yesterday....today I have to be good and do a bunch of other stuff. :0( I think I will hold today's sewing time out like a carrot, promise myself if I get x number of things done by x hour, I can sit down and sew a while.
I need a serious break from the Dessert Time quilt...have geese to make, and have embellishments to add to a friend's Christmas gift.
Momof6, I KNOW what you mean about the house deteriorating when you sew a lot!! Laundry is badly backed up around here!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
Happy Wednesday all! I'm so excited to be home today! The trip to the grocery store yesterday wasn't so bad...does everyone have corn on Tday? I got the last two bags, and the last two bags of broccoli...
I'm making some pumpkin cheesecakes bars this morning, new receipe. I think that's all I do today other than clean. Tomorrow will be the killer day, deviled eggs, ham, taters in crock pot, sweet taters in other crock pot, I might actually get to sew today!
I hope everyone stays warm and has a blessed day!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
I wish all of you a very Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving. I also hope all of you & your families will be well. My DH is still not back up to feeling 100% but is back on the road towards home & hopefully will be home through tomorrow. One of our little 6 yr old DGS's was diagnosed yesterday with Strep Throat & feels rotten, so we are hoping Riley the 3 yr old will not get it. The twins and other 6 yr old are well Thank the Lord for that! The 17 yr old DGS is well too so I am grateful for that as well. So many ugly illnesses going around like wildfire here. But it is just normal piddly stuff that is irritating but totally curable. Just one of life's many speed bumps. Don't work too hard today or tomorrow so you can enjoy the day and the blessings.
Love you all

Re: Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
well in about an hour my daughter and i will be driving to Apple Vally in the high desert and spend the day with my Mom. She isn't coming down here tomorrow because she has my nephew's 2 huge dogs at her house, and has had for a year while he is stationed in Japan. the dgs are a royal pain he just left the with her and she is not happy but when he did that he had just come back from Iraq and we were all so thankful that he was safe..anyway...long story... Mom is stuck at her house and the 2 hour drive each way is too long for her to do as a day trip..so Julia and I are doing that trip today...
and my brother and his wife will be up there for the weekend starting tomorrow.
John will be home getting things ready for tomorrow we will be hosting his family (even though it is his brother's turn...another long story) John is a wonderful cook and he will get more done without me here as a distraction.
I am taking Mom the Sunbonnet Sue quilt I made her, I will work on the binding while I am there as we chat. If I finish I will leave it otherwise I will bring it back with me and then send it back to her.
