it is finally cooling off here... we will have weather in the 60's this week which is a big change from the mid to high 70's that we have been having.... such an odd winter, it just makes no sense....

We still have cherry tomatoes on the plants and bell peppers too... so it got me to wondering.... do you all see 4 seasons or does it seem like we only have winter and summer...nuts huh?

After work todya I have the whole weekend all to myself... I am going to play in my sewing room

hope you all have a wonderful day

Good morning,
I'm usually not up this early. Let me rephrase that, I'm up but at work so I'm not on here this early. Called in sick because I can't breathe and am coughing continuously. Haven't had a cold in over 2 years, so this one is making up for it.
Am going to go back to bed, then will probably sew some this afternoon. It is really cold here, but the sun is out. Haven't seen it in a while.
Will check in later.

Good morning everyone. I'm having some coffee before getting started this morning. Yesterday I got one row of (8) blocks set together plus 2 of the second row on the DWR Quilt. After coffee, I will get laundry sorted and in the wash, clean kitchen, then back to sewing. I am hoping I can get row 2 and row 3 completed today which will leave 5 more rows left to do throughout this week. IF I can get the top done this week I'll be able to sandwich everything together and start quilting it after Thanksgiving.

Rosie I hope you feel better soon. I am working as usual today. Last night I was machine quilting a lap quilt and fell asleep while sewing. All I can remember is sewing, nothing, and waking up still sewing. I guess I better check my quilt when I get home to make sure it is all right. I must be tired. That was a first for me. I didn't even drop my head and just sewed in my sleep. OH BOY do I need 2 days off next week.

Good Morning Ladies -- finally got that thread catcher finished up yesterday. I forgot the sissor tabs, but on well, I doubt my SIL will even notice.

Have a question for you ladies who hand sew your bindings on....Do you hand sew the whole binding -- or do you machine sew it first, and then finish the back side with hand sewing? Anyway -- I want to work on my practice piece this weekend.

WTG Chriss!!! Two weeks down, that is just plain GREAT!!!

Gotta run, computer guy is coming this morning, still having problems staying and getting connected. Have a great day Ladies, happy trails, jacquie

Good morning everyone. I had a good night's sleep. Did not even move!!!!!!! Got a load of laundry in the washer & going to vacumn. I sat the past 2 evenings and hand pieced a 6 in Dresdan Plate. It was not fun but I have 3 more to try to do. The pattern called for 16 plates but for some silly reason, mine took 17 for it to lie flat. Who knows what I did wrong. I didn't even stitch it wiht 1/4 in seam as the pattern called for in the 1st place because of the tiny size. If I had of, it would have required more plates. Oh well it worked so that is all that matters. Who will know other than however many folks that read this post. Right? lol And if I don't show a pic when I complete the piece, nobody will know. lol Washer has finished so got to get busy.

Hope you all have a blessed day!
Hugs & Love
