Happy Thursday morning! November 20th

Post by momof6quilts » Thu Nov 20, 2008 12:27 am

We have very cold this morning and a blanket of snow- yuck.

My father comes today from NC for a week to visit and to hunt. I'll have to sew around his times here.

I'm machine quilting the Butterflies are a Flutter, today.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Vicky

Good morning Vicky, I'm glad I'm not the only early bird this morning. I woke up TOO early for a day off. This afternoon we are going to Amarillo to get some things done.

Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning everyone! Got to get ready for our Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. We celebrate on the Saturday before the holiday..seems like more of the family can attend that way. I'm doing a 21 lb. turkey and a 10 lb. ham, mashed pot.,and dressing and rolls. All the kids bring dishes so we have tons of food.

I have 3 children, their spouses and 7 grands, my DH has 5 children, their spouses and 8 grands, plus 2 friends of grands. A BUNCH, when they can all be here!

So, I'll be busy!

Whew, Joanne, that's quite a crew you will have for dinner!

I'm going to do my final Thanksgiving grocery shopping after work today. During the night tonight we will be getting a cold front and tomorrow is suppose to be cold so I don't want to go to the store then. Saturday I'm getting my hairs cut and then taking Scooter and Schatzi to the vet - time for shots. And then I'm not going to let myself sew until I have taken down all my fall decorations and packed them up - getting ready for Christmas decorations to go up beginning Thanksgiving evening.

Y'all have a great day.

Good Morning everyone................

A little cooler here in So. Cal. From the 90s to the low 80s, thank goodness.

I've already done my Thanksgiving shopping, so also need to get my Sophie her vacinations and as I put up Christmas decor the day after Thanksgiving, need to get those out of the shed. Have my cards (the few that I do)all done so will drop those in the mail also Thanksgiving weekend. So hope to finish my "Autumn Splendor" runner and maybe get some yard work done before it warms up again.

Everyone have a wonderful day,

Have Fun,

Good Morning

Had to get up early this morning to take Max to the groomer. He will be beautiful for Thanksgiving.

I have been waking up the last couple mornings with a gawd awful headache. It takes a couple hours and 4 advil to go away. I wonder if I am sleeping crooked or grinding my teeth.

I am going out to dinner with friends tonight and I get to sew today, it is going to be a very good day.

I talked to my sister and she should be here by the weekend ( yes I wondered if that has anything to do with the headache). I am looking forward to seeing her.

Mom and I got our flu shots Tuesday and my arm is still a little sore.

Better go feed Mom before I have to go pick up Max. Everyone have a great day

Chriss - I am so proud of you...keep going It will be much easier if your husband quits at the same time !!!HURRAY!!!!!

Good Morning. I am getting ready for Thanksgiving Dinner at my church on Saturday. Making a list for food I need. Daughter and I will go to store tomorrow and get all for Sat. and next thursday. I already have a turkey and ham. My kids are all bringing dishes too. So we'll have more than enough food. Always do. Plan on doing a little sewing this afternoon. Making Bible Costumes right now. Need to get one finished by this Saturday. Hope everyone has a great day!

I am working on my shopping list for TGD. Evryone comes here. We will eat in my family room, which also is my sewing room through the cold months, so I will be packing more of it up -proably today.
Saturday in DGD's 2 birthday. I will have piano lessons in the morning and then going to DIL's house and doing who knows what. It's a bittersweet day for us, last year her birthday was on TGD. It was the last time the most of us saw my Dad, while he was still so lucid. He wasn't feeling well then. He did hold Hannah and fed her a bottle.I have pics of that.I also have a group shot of all but 3 of the family-oh shoot-here come the tears- Bless the Lord, he's in a place where there are no tears-or snow- It's going to be a good day-I'm going to make it just that. You have a good day, and I'm off to do some sewing!! I think some placemats for my Mom are in order!!
