Halloween eve

Post by IowaGal » Thu Oct 30, 2008 1:07 am

I am working all day today, and kinda sorta got caught up on sleep. Hopefully I will be able to pop in this afternoon, as my Dr is out of the office all afternoon. Tonight is my bowling night, I know I am about the only league bowler around here, but will let you know how I do. It is supposed to be significanlty warmer here today, I sure hope so, as my hand are already so dry, I don't know how they will make it all winter!

We stayed home and laid low yesterday...youngest does NOT have mumps. Surprise, surprise <wink!> She still had a bit of a fever but jumped right in and carved her pumpkin nevertheless! She even bored little holes in the sides and stuck fat pretzel sticks in to look like the electrodes on the Frankenstein monster...! Eldest did a very cool vampire face on hers, complete with pointy teeth. My pumpkin house looks nothing like I had envisioned it, but it's kinda cute anyway. The door was a real pain to put together. The next one will be something simpler!

Today, I need to finish up some details on the Halloween costumes and clean up the front yard and walkway...DH and BIL have been leaving drech out there and it looks like the day after a really lousy yard sale!

IowaGal.....Glad you were able to get some sleep.

luv_2.....Have fun with your GK's tonight. I hate the time changes myself. I wish they would leave it alone as well.

Grammie.....I was up at 3:45 this morning putting in more laundry that I didn't get done yesterday. Work called me in on my day off for a meeting that kept me there for 4 hours. I fell asleep on the couch before I got finished with my chores done, so I have to finish this morning before I go to work.

Cindyg.....ALMOST time. You gals have a safe and wonderful trip. Leave the lead foot at home. Wouldn't want the state to get any of that 'stash' money. LOL Hugs, be careful.

Good morning all! It's beautiful here in mid-TN! Sunny, blue skies, a little fall color. But COLD. Down to 29° in the night, and now just 34°. I like to wait until it's 40° before I take my walk.

Finished piecing the Lover's Knot tablerunner yesterday and now to quilt it - the hardest part for me. Hoping my 'stitch-in-the-ditch' will be good enough.

DH and I are going to lunch at Red Lobster - about 45 minutes away - his favorite place!

Hope everyone has a happy and productive day!

Good morning everyone. I am posting the last post before I pack up the old computer. Everything else is pretty well packed. I think. I dread that 8 hr ride. *groan*

I hope all of you have a wonderful day today doing whatever you are going to get to do. The sun is shining here so I hope it is wherever you are as well.

Hugs & Love

Morning all!

I am going to clean house today, I love my DH and my kids but there idea of clean and mine differ a bit. While I have been sick they have tried to keep the house clean but things like wiping the stove, dishwasher and refridgerator are another launguage to them. be back in a bit.

Hi all. Just popped in to see what's going on. Have to finish dishes this morn. then go for eye check up from cataract surgery. Cindy G. yall have fun in Houston. Someday I hope to go to the houston show. I hear its really something. After my eye check, have to go to my church to work on bulletins for Sunday service, then back home. Hope I can sew this evening some. Been working on some stockings for grandkids. Everyone have a great day with whatever you need to do.
