Morning today I'm working on a top...picking up 2 quilts from the LA... and they will need finishing for Christmas gifts. One is a Snowman who will need eyes and buttons and binding. A tiny bit of ironing and a few windows to wash makes my day.....later.

Things are not running very smoothly on the insulin pump road. My DNE (Diabetes nurse educator) asked for me to complete pump school, which I did and to upload my pump data so the dr can run a compliance report (which I am terrified of failing) I did not have the proper USB thingie, so minimed sent one. The problem is my pump model wont work with that, so I had to order a cable from the meter company. I called the Diabetes center and she told me that the data she needs can't be pulling from the meter/pump upload, so today I have to drive 75 miles, one way, to have them pull the data off my pump. I planned on sewing all day, but it is not going to happen. AND Ken had worked out a deal with Beth to trade out his labor in helping with the calves in beef and corn fuel, so I thought we were getting a 1/4 beef. NO we are getting a half beef and I do not have enough freezer space, so I have to get a new freezer today as well, since the beef is ready to be picked up tomorrow.... 379 lbs hanging weight. That INCLUDES 60 lbs of ground beef! All we had to pay was our portion of the processing, 189.00 which makes those steaks pretty cheap! SO, I have a long way to go and a short time to get there today.

Good morning everyone. I have to bind my sister in-law's quilt tonight and it may run into tomorrow. Then I can start my grandaughters' quilts for Christmas. Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everybody. I'm at work - hum de dum dum dum. Did I mention that the Houston Int'l. Quilt Festival is coming next week. I'm taking off next Friday to go and I can't wait!!! I'm also going on Saturday and Sunday. It's all I can think about - so I'm going to be worthless until the quilt show is over. WOO HOO

Morning Ladies! It is pretty windy here this morning -- don't know if I'll have my riding lesson or not. Will have to see if the wind dies down once the sun is up.

Good luck Sharon -- I sure hope works out for you and your new pump.

WTG Bev!

I'm hoping my order will be here from QIAD today, I ordered some new books (for me) and rulers for my sister. I had to order some more fabric for my DH's grandmother's lapquilt from a different store -- that should be here today or tomorrow, so that is on hold till it get here. While visiting last week, my SIL loved my pin cushion/thread catcher gizmo. If I don't have a lesson today, then I think I'll start one for her for Christmas.

Ya'll have a great day, happy trails, jacquie

WoooooooooHoooooooooo, it's my weekend. Popped in to say good morning to everyone while having my morning cup of coffee.

Bev good luck with your tests today.

Sharon, sorry you have to make the trip in for them to read your monitor results. If you don't want to purchase another freezer, you could always send 1/4 my way. My freezer is pretty well empty. Plenty of room. LOL

Suzette58, sounds like you are moving right along. I wish I could get my quilts done as quickly as all you do. Guess I better start picking easier patterns, LOL

Cindy, I'm green with envy, wishing I could be there. LOL All joking aside, have tons of fun, take lots of pix, drive safely. This should be sooooooo relaxing for you. Are you going to get to meet up with any of the gals from here?

Jacquie- What does your pin cushion/thread catcher gizmo look like? Sounds like a pretty nifty little gadget.

About to start cutting some strips for a binding and do dishes. Will go to church this afternoon to do a little work there. Good luck to those who are dealing with medical issues today. Y'all have a nice day.
