Good morning everyone. It's beautiful here in Northern VA. I am at work but this afternoon I plan to work on the backing for my sister in-law's quilt. I may have to extend the back tho. Not sure that I have enough fabric. If so I'll just piece it with the squares from the top. Have a good day

I'm at work - it sure takes up a lot of quilting time - LOL! No sewing for me today. I have choir rehearsal at church and then a special service at 8:00PM because our church is hosting a pastor's seminar. I won't get home 'til almost 10:00PM and I will definitely be ready to hit the hay.

Looks like today everyone will be busy sewing, except for cindyg(sorry). Cindy, I hope you have a good rehearsal.

I want to get going on my shopping trip but can't get hold of the gentleman that ordered the quilt. I got a phone message from his wife saying they had decided not to do the family photos and to go ahead and get started. She said florals would be fine in the colors of purple and tan. The problem is that when her husband ordered the quilt he said purple and ivory (big difference) so now I have to get it all straight before I head out.

I am chilly today. It is about 45* and raining. It just feels damp. I am sitting here with an afghan wrapped around my shoulders. We even have the heat on.
I watched the Biggest Loser last night. I love that show, but hate this new digital tv thing. We have already hooked up our converter box. It is a pain. Every time I get interested in a show it starts breaking up. I sure hope they get things ironed out before Feb.
I am working on Izabella's quilt. I am doing a simple 2 inch crosshatch and a Baptist fan in the border. I have about 1/4 of it done. It is going really quick. Good thing, because I want to get it done this month.
Everyone have a wonderful day.

DewDew - any bets it's suppose to be purple and tan? You know men and colors - LOL.

Winona - We also have the converter box and do not have a problem with the picture. In fact now we get more stations than ever. My DH hooked it up. My only complaint is with sound. He had difficulty with something and it is difficult to control the sound. We can hear it fine, but sometimes it is too loud other times it is too soft.

Well I am working today as usual. Work does take up a lot of sewing time like you said Cindyg. Lately here at work I just keep thinking about all the projects I am or want to be working on. I guess because I have somehow starting working on things for people and getting paid for it which is nice but that is all I want to do. I am definitely bored with accounting now LOL. I have also been told I should make up a portfolio so that is on my list of things to do also.

Have a nice day and get lots of sewing done.

Brenda
