zfatcat, I think I will make a "Jar" quilt. Have you ever seen the pattern for one?? About 5 years ago, on vacation, I bought the pattern and some fruit fabric. Now I will have enough different fabric to make it! There's a picture on the thread in Swaps.

zfatcat, you can make jar blocks with the candy print as the contents. It was really cute. I liked the fabric before, but couldn't come up with a good way to use it (and validate my buying it). I liked BamaGirl's ideas tho about bugs in the jars too, so I might have to make several different quilts. I have a house of all boys (5 between 16 and 7, and my DH), so I end up buying a lot of novelty fabric with bugs, lizards, etc..

OMG! ROFLOL! Rosie, I just read your post and am about to fall out laughing! Girlfriend, you are a hoot and a half!
fatcat, my gosh, that must've been a trip with your car today! One time I was driving home from work and the steering went out on my car at the same time a front tire blew...holy cow, it was like the car had a mind of it's own....whizzed across 4 lanes of traffic (thank goodness no one was next to me!) and up an embankment where they were building a new shopping center and I tore thru all these plants they were planting and finally came to a stop in the parking lot. These workers ran up to me freaking out, it was scary as the devil! There were little shrubs and plants hanging out underneath my car, off the back bumper, I'd dug a danged trench thru soft dirt where they had been planting and several guys had to scramble to get out of my way. Everytime I drive by that shopping center to this very day, I think about the "landscaping" I did for them! ROFLOL!

Quilter7-the post card said we would automatically get a catalog
oh I am drooling already!
zfatcat..I love my Trailblazer!
I am not doing a jar quilt with my sweet charms I found a pattern in Ontario that I am going to use. It is a local designer and the pattern is darling. I will have to scan the photo for the pattern it uses 22 fabrics in different sizes. I also bought potato chip fabric at the quilt show to use as a neutral in the quilt ")

Carolyn - I did not see that we would get a catalogue, I need to go look at it again!
Up-date: Carolyn, I now see the notice that those who have enrolled will get a catalogue. Good, one less thing to mail.

Lol...Pam. Funny now, but probably not so funny then. At least my car was in the garage. When the Fire dept. got here, the first thing they asked was, "who's the fireman?" My DH is retired and we have lots of Fire Dept. items in the garage. Including his helments.
Then they made the rookie do all the work while they chatted with my neighbor who's retired from the fire dept. as well. Glad I was able to set up a reunion for them. lol
