Okay...it's just after six pm and there are NINE blocks done, only 3 to go! Then to figure out what to DO with them...the fabric I bought to lay out in alternate blocks with the pieced blocks isn't going to work
Oh well. I'll figure something out!
We had "breakfast for dinner", scrambled eggs, sausage links, and hash brown patties...YUM! Always a hit around here, and fairly quick to fix.
I have had WAY too much caffeine today...1 1/2 cups of joe this morning, an iced tea after lunch, and another half cup of coffee around three...WHEEEEEEEE! Usually around six, I start thinking about putting on my jammies and my level of conciousness starts to decline (I get up REALLY early). Tonight I feel like I'll be up for days! I am getting alot of sewing done, though, and only made one blunder this afternoon.
Back to paper piecing...love it but dang, is it ever messy!!

Cynthia, sorry dinner didn't turn out the way you wished. Tomorrow is another day, huh? Remember, the game isn't on till 3:15 so you'll have lots of time for sewing before it comes one. Have a good night & sweet dreams!

Can't remember who posted about AC/DC's new CD that's coming out, but a local station is broadcasting it right now, plus interviews with the group. It sounds great so far!

Well, we're back from the church festival and turkey dinner. Since I eat so little sometimes, Joe got another one to go for him and tomorrow's dinner is set. Cool.
I'm cracking up over the Birky conversations. Joe wore them when we met. I think they're ugly as sin. He and I both wear crocs now. In the 60's we called birkys Jesus Sneakers and a few years ago it was an answer on 10,000 Pyramid game show. The contest couldn't get it , even tho the guy giving the clue had used sandals, Jesus sneakers and a couple of other things. He finally said lesbians wear them and she immediately got it. I cracked up, because my stepdaughter (yep, the definition fits) is the one who turned her dad on to them. I could care less about her or anyone else's private life, just thought the stereotype was funny.
I have almost finished step 3 on the guld's mystery quilt. It really is working this time. I must be doing something wrong.
Carrie, did your DH dress the pheasants? My mother's rule was she would cook whatever Dad shot or caught, but he had to get it ready. Worked for her.
Nothing at all on TV, so I'm going to go hibernate in the sewing room.
I'm fighting a cold and that should relax my achy muscles.

Hi all - Well I didn't get any Birks - all they had left were the "really ugly" ones. Decided right then and there I was not in the mood for big crowds, so I didn't go to the Maple leaf festival - I will attempt again tomorrow - So MaryEllen hop a flight and we can go around noon
) Did get some sewing in this afternoon. Did laundry (oh boy) and fixed supper. Have had my bath and all toasty warm now, probably just hang around here for awhile

Rosie, I don't like wearing the "clog" type of birkenstock, those are really ugly as sin.LOL I do love the sandals, which is a style that has been copied by lots of shoe brands, except for the footbed. DD#2 bought me a pair of Foot Steps which are a really nice shoe with the birkenstock insert footbed and those I just love.
DH and I just got back from dinner, I am stuffed. We went out to eat since it was jut the two of us home tonight. I have to pick up Vic around 10:00pm so I will have a couple of hours left that I can work on my placemats some more.

Hurray for me... I got the first quilt finished. I am sure glad it is done I was sick and tired of it. Posted it over on the picture page. Even got some pieceing done on the second quilt. This is going together much faster than the first one. Haven't figured out how to quilt it yet. Maybe I will be inspired when it is finished...
I never did wear birkenstock sandals, I thought they were ugly. Earth shoes were pretty ugly too. Course I am one of those silly woment that have 120 pairs of shoes. Now that I am not working I only wear a few favorites. Now that I think of it I haven't bought any lately either......
