Good Evening everyone! Gee, I'll never get through reading all the posts, so I'll just jump right in from this point.

JW do you line up the outermost points of the pinked part to the cut edge or the innermost "v's"?? And if both pieces are pinked, do you just match the outermost points to hit your 1/4 in. edge? Or do you start your 1/4 in. at the innermost point of the pinking? OMG does this make sense?? If not, we can just act like I never asked! LOL!

Q7 I saw your quilt over in Photos...gorgeous! I like the black too..I'd love to see a close up on the fabric..I'll bet it's beautiful!

Hey Peach, did you get all your sewing done?? Smothered in cotton!

sewcarolyn, I heard you say you were looking forward to doing that ole' Bear's Paw! Poor Chriss! It's ok, just think, after this one the hurdles will be hurdled! Except for maybe the drunkard's path...ugh! But it's so pretty!

Pam, now you know I'll have to go order the Night and Day book...sure...I JUST got my order from QIAD the other day, now I'll have to order again! lol! I can't get to Paducah, so...

Joanne-I use the outermost points, using the inner "v"s makes the square too small. Someone else may have used these more often and may have had different results, but I have to use the outer points or I end up with a 4 1/2" rather than a 5".

well I go to work for 8 meesley hours plus an hour to shop and another hour or so to travel and you girls really stir up a hornets nest... ok, they are small hornets and don't sting and they are all smiling and usually loveable but still

Joanne, did you really think I wouldn't remember you had a chance to pick out the UGRR block... and to think that Valerie and Carolyn went right in with you and picked on me and my challenged bear pawishness....

Yes my friends... I am not a quilting block expret... hard as it may be for you all to believe, I have hurdles I must cross.... one is the bear paw and the other is .... dare I mention it again??... ok, it's the drunkards path.. there I said it.... I have been searching for a 12 step program and that is when I stumbled on this forum...lol....

GP tried to warn me about the houligans but I wouldn't listen... but I am on to you now....

seriously, you girls are a lot of fun...

I adore donuts! Couldn't type and eat! A BIG glazed donut!
Sorry....
I'm supposed to be watching my diet and losing weight..but sometimes you just have to have a donut!

Well Peach, I hope you are happy and satisfied! I pre-ordered the Night and Day book! It really is a good deal...

Don't those charms measure at 5 in.?? With seams it should measure 4 1/2 in., right??

Now Chriss, if I can struggle with the dumb ole' Carpenter's Wheel AND listen to my daughter-in-law laugh hysterically when she saw the baby one, you'll do fine with the bear's paw!! (watch, when I try it, I'll probably have a fit or something! lol!)

Sewcarolyn get a box of donuts on the way to teach the scouts..it'll give you strength!

Don't worry about the bear's paw, it's an easy block! I did a 12" one(for my mom, don't have it anymore) and 6" one(around here somewhere....) very easy.

Joanne-Sorry, I meant it would be 4 1/2" without seams, 4" with, i didn't make myself very clear. I've been trying to work on that...still sound like an idiot most of the time:)
