YAAAAAAAH, it's a snow day. I'm going to sew this afternoon and my hinting finally gets DH off his fanny to clean the steps and a path to the car. We've learned NOT to clean the city sidewalks. It seems that if you don't clean it, you're not responsible if someone falls and gets hurt, but if you clean it and there is any snow or ice left and someone falls, then you and your insurance have the bill. I don't feel like taking a chance.
My little girl dog loves the snow. The short guy, who is 15, walked out, looked around, poked the snow with his paw and turned around and came in. He had a look like "I'm too old for this !@#$#." He is so funny.
Well, I'm off to sew good stuff.

Does anyone know where that pattern for the tissue covers is? I can't find it and the search turns up nothing.

Me - What in the world does Atypical Face Pain mean? Will the sinus surgery help with that? My friend had to have her sinuses reamed out. Be sure you have your pain prescription filled - you'll need it. Gee, aren't I encouraging?? Just wanted to warn you.

Cindyg.......I'm not sure exactly what the term means. I've been having severe facial pain & swelling on the left side since October. Finally got sick of the doctor always blaming it on sinus infections. So, got a second opinion & thankfully got into a neurologist a couple of weeks ago, he wanted me to see an ENT doctor. So I did that yesterday, saw the neurologist again today, eye doctor tomorrow. The ENT did say that it "may" help to have the sinuses rooter-rooted (yuck) because there may be a couple of polyps or small growth inside, but she won't know till she's in there. So if the eye specialist doesn't see a problem with my eyes, surgery will be scheduled for next week. I already told her that she better give me really good drugs for that & she did promise! I know it won't be a pleasant operation, but I'm all for it if it'll help. I'm having a really hard time with the pain & the swelling & just want it fixed!

I LOVE quilting. I am working on my tossed 9 patch and laid out the blocks to see how I want to out them together. There are so many choices. Every time you turn a block you get a different look How cool is that!!!!! Decision, decisions

mequilter - Sorry you are having such problems, always sucks when you are not feeling well

Me - I'm so sorry you are having the problems. It will be wonderful if the sinus surgery fixes everything? I hope it does.

Littlebit - thanks you so much. How did you find it? I never have much luck with that search thing.

Kenderosa and Jameswife - good luck with the Tobacco Road - it looks very tedious!!!

Just started cooking dinner, yummy mexican beef soup(that's not a good name, I think I need a better one) Basically, what's in the cabinet and what can I do with it soup.

It's been a pretty good day having DH home, better than worrying about him on these roads, that's for sure!

cindyg-It probably will be tedious, but sometimes I need something I can just shove through the machine and not have to think about much:)

Dh just found my apron pattern, YAY! He wants me to do the frilly apron but I told him I don't have enough fabric. He said, "Get more fabric" I said "really?" He said "Not today!" but it means when the weather clears up I can go get some fabric for an apron(I'm gonna buy extra "just in case" he he)

I got to do a lot of sewing today. I made 14 quilt blocks for my Granddaughters Bug Jar quilt. I just have to make a few more and it should be ready to put together for her birthday.

We have about 5 - 6 inches of snow and we're starting to get some ice falling. I can hear it hit the windows. Oh what joy.

Stay warm,

Viv
