Re: Good Sunday Morning----October 12, 2008
Been working a quilt for my niece. I really liked the quilt when I started it, but I have been working on it for so long that I ma beginning to hate it. I am finally down to the outside border quilting and then I can do the binding. I think I will like it again when I am done. Actually came out kinda cool.
I have the quilt for her sister about half pieced. Probably will hate that one by the time I am done with it, but then again I don't think there will be as much quilting on the second one. Gotta be done for Christmas.
I think we will order pizza for dinner, after all my fingers are tired form all the sewing.....

Only got 1 side of binding put on but am pinning the next side. DS came & left his truck to be worked on. A friend owns a auto shop, so we took it to his house & he will drive it to his work. Took DS home so that was 45 min each way.
AND,,,,why is it when husbands try to help you with anything you end up cleaning up after them??? Really, its nice DH mowed the lawn for me but he makes a bigger mess than I do. Or pruned some trees but I helpd clean up after. YIKES...Oh well its a beautiful day outside so it wasn't all bad
Ann your sewing room is beautiful. Someday I will have one too I hope. I would probably never come out LOL
Alina, did DH need protein or baby???LOL Are you moving back down this way?
Maw--not snow already. Remember you in your pj's last year HeHeHeHe
The neighbor probably is waiting
)
Off to do some oven fried chicken, mash taters & gravy for dinner later YUMMY

Good evening everyone. Looks like y'all are being real productive today. My BFF and her MIL came over Friday night and we loaded her quilt onto the frame. Yesterday we quilted on it, took a little trip to the LQS, then came home to get back at it. I'm so disgusted with my Juki I could just spit! I'm ready to toss it out to the road. The dang thread kept breaking and I tried everything I could think of to solve the problem. We finally quit at 5:00. It should have taken us about 3 hours.
Today we went to church, lunch, came home and took a good nap then started on the laundry and came to the forum. Looks like there won't be any sewing on my stuff this weekend. I will finish my first locker hooked rug tonight while I watch TV. In the photo section there is lots of new stuff to look at - I enjoy that thread so much. I'm off now to read some more on the forum before my shows come on. Been a lazy day for me.

Grammy2... DH desparately needed protein... he gets soooooo crabby when he needs to eat! But we are all fed and happy campers again! We had some yummy grilled teriaki steak and salad... it turned out to be such a beautiful day! We are planning on moving back up that way... well probably more towards carmel valley ranch or sorento valley-ish! DH works off Del Mar Heights Road now... we are La Mesa right now right by Grossmont center! I will be happy to be close to QIAD again!
Going to go work on the pumpkin quilt for BOM!!! See ya later gators!
Hugs!

Good Evening Gals.
Gosh, I think I'm going through withdrawls or something. I was at the cabin all weekend and am just now taking a break to check in with everybody. I love to see what everybody's been up to all day! I'm just trying to think of something fast and easy to do with a pound of burger I have defrosting in the micro--I think it's going to end up as taco salad!
Sis and I got the cabin all closed up this morning. It's quite a process and we are gratefull we have great neighbors that help us get the well turn off and the water pipes blown out. Then we have to pour anti-freeze down all the drains, turn of the electicy, leave the frige open. I got home about 2:00 and haven't stopped puttsing around the house since.
I kept thinking while I was up there of everything I NEED and WANT to get done here at home. There's the usual laundry of course and ironing something for work tomorrow. But I've had kind of a bug in the arse to rearrange the sewing room and move some stuff around. Not sure when DD is moving home, but I want to be ready when she gets here. So I moved out 1 table from the sewing room, moved a shelf from DD's room to sewing room and re-organized it. (trying to download a photo now) My DS2 and DIL stopped by and Sara helped my rearrange fabric by color a little. Still so much mess to clean up!!!
Oh well, a little at a time. For now I think I'll head back to the kitchen to rustle up dinner..
Hope everybody has a great week ahead

That's quite a stash you have there, Mary!! You had a busy weekend, wish you could just relax tonight! That laundry will still be there when you get home from work tomorrow.

Got the sewing room put back together.. I have decided that when the last kid moves out I am taking that room for stash storage... I am tired of totes..
I had a bowling tournament this afternoon. I had the highest average, thus the lowest handicap and to top it all off I bolwed AWFUL. My heart sure wasn't in it, I wanted to be home playing with my new toy!
So the room is done enough and am working on the colts quilt.... country lane pattern.. for my BIL's xmas gift. It is going pretty smooth... no unsewing as of yet!

Just finished up supper, DH is doing the dishes so I'm down here. I threw together an apple crisp (thanks for the recipe, MaryQ) & I ate so much I can barely move. At least we'll have leftovers for tomorrow nights supper. One more day to enjoy the 70's & then reality will hit.....50's, ugh!! I guess it is time for it, though.
