Lyn—so neat to have it all done for you, including icing the cooler! Here you take your boat to the car wash. You have to be careful of zebra mussels’ contamination if you go between lakes. No saltwater up here. I thought it looked like it was on a forklift. I'm still in awe of your fish!

Florence—hope this is the beginning of wonderful friendships here and new beginnings for your emotions. Bless you! We need a photo of you with your new cut and color—It’s so much fun to meet our friends!

Lea—perhaps shorter transit time means a little time to put in a few stitches. Best wishes to you!

No sewing. DH and I worked on landscaping… creek gravel and big rocks, then we made an edging for my new wildflower bed using slabs of cedar logs. That new chain saw of DH’s went through like buttah. He took two rustic stumps and put a slab of oak on them and made a bench. He also put a rustic old bird house on an old hedge fence post. If I get the flowers to grow, I’ll post a picture later. Right now, it’s just dirt, seeds and hopes of a profusion of wildflower blooms.

I came in and made chili and cornmeal waffles for dinner. Decided the cornmeal waffles are better with butter and syrup than as a cornbread—too much like waffles. However, they are delicious. I’ll take Mom some chili, some waffles and I want to fix her some creamed asparagus and make some zucchini muffins tomorrow before I go to town.

Now… behind down and feet up time. I’ll try to work on my hand quilting. My back and shoulders are tired from shoveling gravel and rocks.

Enjoy your evening!
