Thought I'd check in to see if there was any word on MaryEllen. I hope all went ok and she's home resting.

i can't believe it is already 1:30 in the afternoon this day flew by. I finally am heating up my lunch and can take a few minutes to breathe. I have a student observer for a few weeks on Wednesdays so I need to be "on" at all times.

and coffee is the 4th food group.....

I love Wednesdays the 1-8th graders are out at 12:15 every Wednesday and Kinder is out at 1pm so I have plenty of time to catch up on reports and documentation (oh and chat)we have extra minutes added all of the other days and Wednesday afternoons allow time for staff meetings and team program development. Most of the girl Scout troops also meet on Wed afterschool so the campus is always full of students having fun!

Back from the doctor and grocery store. They didn't run a thyroid test so now I have to wait until tomorrow. Oh well She thinks I might have sleep apnea. There is a gadget you can wear at home while you sleep that measures your oxygen levels. Then you go from there, pretty nifty

On pins and needles to hear from Mary Ellen, though I am sure everything is fine it is nice to have it confirmed.

Quilter7 - nice to see a fellow tea drinker

jameswife - cool apron

momof6 and weeone - I have never been to a chriopractor, what is it like?

grammie - sounds like you scored pretty good with your shopping

rosie - I imagime your keys are a block of ice by now LOL

CaroleJ - hope you mom is OK

Sewcarolyn, I'm jealous. We don't have early release, I bring stuff home. I end up staying late most days except for Fridays, that is the one day I make sure I'm home when my kids get home.

I have to say I was a bad teacher yesterday. I have a literacy class of 20 (yep, 20) and 2/3s don't speak English. Well, for the last two weeks they've decided to ignore me and not work. So today, I gave them ACT tests to show them they are so far behind in reading/writing English. Yesterday I yelled at them, but today I tried to explain that they have to work hard to compete with kids who can already read at grade level. I felt bad about yelling, but I'd had it! My ELA para was applauding tho...

Hi
I JUST TALKED TO MARY ELLEN.....

She is doing fine, said she had good drugs:) They took a few biopsies, so she really won't have a complete answer until next week. From the sound of it, they didn't see anything major in there-- but if the pain continues, they will know it's not the sinuses.

Let's all hope this was it, and she is all better-- that has to be rough, having something that takes so long to diagnose!!

I just got home from work, so I will need to get dinner-- take care!

Sandy, you are lucky to be able to sleep at home and be tested. I had to go to the hospital and spend the night all hooked up to wires and lots of them. I do feel a lot better when I use the cpap machine tho. I do not use it as often as I should.

Had a great time at my get together yesterday. Sewed on a table topper that I plan to enter in the Quilt Expo in March in Oshkosh. It is nothing special, but you have to enter something to get you name in a drawing for a brand new sewing machine. They give away 2 every year. Cannot take a chance on missing out on that. My table topper is a kit that I purchased from Connecting Threads.

I hope all went well, with ME. I have been thinking of her alot and wish we would hear something.

This weekend I am going to go to a retreat at the EAA grounds here in Oshkosh. I had tried to sign up earlier, but it was full. They called today and said they had a cancellation, did I still want to go? They are also having a massage therapist there. I also have never had a massage, so I signed up for 1/2 hour. We will see. I have a lot of work to do getting things ready to take to the retreat so I can work on the group project. They always make squares as a group, then have a drawing and the winner gets the squares. Then they always tell the person they have to stary up on Saturday until they get it sewn together so we can all see it. They also play a dice game on Saturday night for 2-1/2" x wof strips. That is fun.

You sew, talk, eat, and have fun from Friday @ noon until Sunday @ noon.

Brenda, anxious to see pictures of your machine and table. Also, want to hear what you like and do not like about the machine. I am thinking of getting one.

thanks for the update on Mary Ellen.....glad to hear she is doing ok

mommyquilts-I love our early release I often schedule IEPs on Wed too so that is nice. Glad to hear that you were firm with the students I get frustrated when kids don't work and that usually means that there is a lack of parental support too

No Chriss, my blood didn't say sleep apnea but I mentioned snoring. I snore like a freight train and always have. DH deserves a metal for putting up with it. Anyway my doctor said she wanted to test me for sleep apnea, that it fit a lot of my symptoms. They have a couple of these nifty gadgets in the practice but both were checked out. SO it looks like I will have the pleasure for the weekend.

Ended up taking a nap this afternoon and DH is cooking dinner so it is kinda a slug day for me.

Sure glad to hear Mary Ellen is doing OK

Brenda - how are you doing with 'our' embroidery machine

Barb - I would love to go on a sewing retreat. I am going to have to check into respite care for Mom so I can do some of these fun things.
