Mommyquilts - take heart...you'll find a spot! I used to sew in the living room, cut fabric in our "cabin" room (a log addition my DH built about 20 yrs. ago) and stored my "stash" in a TINY room upstairs until 2 yrs. ago. My DS2 was in the Army before that and he and his family had to use the upstairs bedroom when he was on leave. He has since retired from the military and they built a home around the corner from us. So it's all mine now!! You never know what life will bring! Actually, I kinda miss sewing downstairs though...
I also took medication to quit smoking...it was horrible! But I fell off the wagon..some day I'll try again (sigh.)
Quilter7 - are you making a lap size quilt for your brother??
dforseth - half a queen size done in one day??!! WOW...
Chriss - I love the shape cut, too!! I've had it forever, but I just recently got it out and used it! Someone had posted about it, so I tried it and it is awesome...it soooo easy...and you're right, no "bends" in the middle. Also, the fabric stays put while you're cutting.
Well, I might go to the living room and hand quilt awhile...or not! Probably just lurk here a while longer! You all have fun and I might be back later.

Oh Maryq! I was single for 17 years...been there and done that! The beautiful part is I didn't have to do anything I really didn't want to do! Truly, I didn't expect to remarry...but you just never know what God has in store for you. I never cooked! And that is funny, because I really enjoy cooking for others. Once in awhile I'd make something like speghetti sauce and I'd put it in containers and put it into the freezer. That works great, because it's THERE, so I'd cook it! Mostly, I ate out...
Have you heard from your daughter??? Are they on their way??

good evening,
Debbie, sounds like you have been working hard.. I like the term rumpitis... what a lot of work all that quilting...
grammie, yes, send that rain to southern Calif... they only need enough to put out the fires and clear the smoke from the air.... you can sure tell when there is a fire, the sky is so fuzzy looking... I live in the center of Calif and it's like a bowl, it holds a lot of gunk until the rain or wind come along to move it all away.
what a bunch of considerate people in your house mommyq.... I think I would stay out of the garage though....lol...
you are right about the shape cut Joann... this thing deserves to be bronzed... amazing tool...
DH is making pizza, one with just cheese for DGD and one with the works for us.... so I need to get ready for supper....
Wizard of Oz is on tonight.... woo hoo...

Bear in the woods is a QIAD quilt
Chris my DH made pizza too It was wonderful.
I like rumpitis, my mom always called it TB (tired butt)
I made a "green smoothie" for lunch and my 4 year old shared it with me, he called them swamp smoothies and loved them. I think it is cool that he would drink it, it had spinich, carrot, apple, parsley, broccoli, banana, and ginger. Very healthy.

Re: Happy Saturday, November 15, 2008
Good evening. We've been running all day. DH took me to breakfast, then I hit the holiday open house at what has become my favorite LQS.
From there drugstore, grocery, library and hardware store. At last stop, found out what new toy DH wants and said I would get it for him for Christmas. At least I don't have to try to figure that one out.
At the library I ran into a "floater" ( substitute librarian) whom I haven't seen since I retired. She did not recognize me. It's amazing what 90 lbs. will do. Did make me feel good, tho.
I haven't sewn a stitch today, but there's still a little time left.
However, I'm tired so no promises.
Caren, we called it fanny fatigue.
Joanne, this is my DH#2, too. He was a patron when I worked at the main library in Cinti. He is my favorite patron. However, I do call him my current husband just to keep him on his toes.
Think I'll go start a load of laundry. I can throw it in the dryer in the morning when I start another one. Joe offered to do it, but
he manages to shrink stuff that shouldn't shrink. Don't know how he does it. He does do his own laundry. He really is a big help.
Off we go to the basement.
Back tomorrow. Sleep well all.

Carol yes the green smoothie is part of the raw food thing.
I am starting by repalcing one meal and snacks with raw food then I will move up to 2 meals and snacks I don't know that I will ever get to 100% but I do know that I have done raw food for lunch the last 2 days in a row and I felt better today than I have in months.
