Good morning,

Joyce, here is one that I could think of - DWR- double wedding ring.

Today is my day with the activity day girls. We are making a craft and working on some values in their book. I found another block that will be easy for them to do, in 2 weeks.

DH and Sarah went to Lowes and bought all the shelving for the large part of the storage room. Stu hauled it all down there, now for the construction to begin. I will be glad to finally have everything in its place.

Today is the mystery block webinar and I almost have the four stars for this month done. I am liking having everything caught up! Now on to all the UFO's that have landed here.

Time to feed DH, he took his meds late,
Do something fun!
Hugs,
Jana

Morning to all. This morning I will be working on a block swap project, then off to work my store. Thinks I will take my dogs with me..Being your own boss has its perks. I can go to work in my slippers, have coffee at my desk/register, and take my 2 basset hounds to work with me. I say they are our official door greeters, just like Walmart!

Carole thanks for all the support!

We had 20 in a very large bag and last night we couldnt find them I am so upset. I have one of the ladies headed there today to see if owner of building moved them. AHHH. I wanted to take them home when we finished and ladies kept saying they will be fine here OH YEAH!! DH says it will be ok. :)

Well better get ready for my next group of kids.

God bless and happy thoughts
Izzy

Update on house fire. It was still standing but a lot of damage to back and one side. Its brick so shell is there. Not sure of injuries just yet. I did see 3-4 teenage boys getting stuff out of there last evening so hopefully not all was a loss. So sad.

Just a quick note - it's about my hip. Doctor says it's arthritis and he's sending me to an orthopedic. Now I have to find one that takes my insurance. So no relief for the pain for a while. I have to watch what I take because I'm on blood thinners but I'm seriously thinking about trying OTC arthritis meds. Any suggestions?

Good Morning Ladies,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOIS!!!!!!

Well after 3 weeks of not being able to walk Luke, my devil dog, I did it after dinner last night and again this morning. Still can not wear shoes because of my broken small toe. But I had DH take an old pair of sneakers of mine and cut a hole where that little toe is and now I can walk the dog again. Hmmm wasn't there a trick called "walk the dog" with a yo yo? Anyway, it works just fine, looks silly but Luke is getting his walks again. It looks like a little sausage is sticking out of my shoe. It is still very red and swollen after 3 weeks. sigh

MaryQ - I bet it is pure heaven at your house now that the monster in the basement is GONE. Do not let her back in. I so admire the patience that you had with her. They would have been hauling me off to the looney bin and she would have squatters rights if I had been put in that position. LOL

MaryZ So sorry you decided to sit down so unexpectedly yesterday. Poor little Scotty was so shocked that you didn't warn him that you wanted to take a break. He was tired too and was headed home. LOL
Hope you are not too sore. Better tighten up on that leash when you pass the spot he decided to return home.

Flo - You hang in there. I sent you a PM this morning. Things will get better, but you have to demand it. Start to enjoy life more you deserve it my dear.

Well I have to get back to DJ. I am going to finish up one more triangle and then she is going on the treadle bed until sometime later. I need to get moving on those UFOs.

Love to all,

Carole

Good afternoon from semi sunny but still chilly, Sw. Pa....One of these days, I'm going to write, the sun it out and it's in the high 70s and wonderful.......But, we do need these dreary days to appreciate the sunny ones.....

Lois, Happy, happy birthday...Hope it's a purrrrfect day....Did you happen to see Dallas last night? And what about the previews for next week? WOW! Enjoy your day and if you have cake, eat some for me (you know the corner with all the icing).....

Cindy, happy to hear about your lunch at Cracker Barrel but not happy about your hip.....I'm surprised the doctor didn't give you a cortozone (sp) shot...That's always fun! I've had them in my hips, feet, knees and I always ask if it's possible for them to find a duller needle....But, I've had good results....
And for sure, you and Don will be in my prayers...With all the good wishes and prayers, we know everything will be fine....

Chriss, You know it's not nice to keep all that warm weather out west....We easterners could really use some...I'm waiting for Kathy to call and "nicely" rub it in... And would you believe, just as I wrote that, the sun came out! Will certainly keep Richard in my thoughts and prayers...These young people need to get their chance at jobs they like....I just had a text from Jackie (Kathy's DD#1) and she was accepted into a program at Penn State to work on her PHD....So darn proud of these kids......
AND I also just got word, we have another great grand baby on the way, due in July......As you always say, It's good to be me!

Maryz, Sorry to hear about your tumble...Scottie had just decided he had had enough and couldn't understand you sitting down on the job....
My plants are starting to pop through and in looking very closely, I did see some tiny purple blooms...Made me believe spring is actually just around the corner.....

Kathy, I agree with Chriss....I think you should put out another rocking chair....You never know who just might drop in for a "rock"...Sorry to hear about Kim's fur baby...With all she's been through, she sure didn't need this.....

Today is my day to stay home and try to get some uglies done...I do have clothes in the washer and in between loads, I've finally finished quilting the summer porch...Now I just have to put the binding on it....Have you ever been so excited about making a quilt and then as you work on it, that excitement wanes and by the time you're almost finished, you almost don't like it? That happened with this one but hopefully when I'm completely finished I'll like it again, lol.......

You all have a great day.............

Cindyg -

I have had one cortizone shot in my knee - worked wonders for the arthritisis there - I too have lots of pain in my hip - would move from the bed to the recliner many nights as it kept me awake - so I use Advil to control the pain that I feel. It works most of the time for me.

After I saw the needle for the first shot, I wonder the size that they would use for my hip - I guess that my DR. would have to go and borrow one from the elephants at the zoo to use on me! LOL So I just keep moving and try not to let it get me down.

Prayers for Don tomorrow and you too!
Hugs
