Good afternoon from semi sunny, chilly, SW. Pa....We still have a dusting of snow but hopefully it will melt soon.....
I just got back from a trip to Pittsburgh with 2 gal friends...We went to the Christmas flower show at Phipps Conservatory, then onto Carnegie museum, than stopped for a late and long lunch....It was a wonderful day, great to spend with good friends and the flowers were absolutely breath taking.....
In reading the posts, there has been so much happiness in the last couple of days...New babies, new engagements, new projects.....It is going to be a good new year......
Terry and the boys were supposed to go skiing but decided against it...I guess even with snow makers, there might not be enough snow....I think we might head to Home Depot to get a new medicine cabinet for the bathroom....Yesterday, we went and ordered a new recliner for Jim, stopped and returned 2 shirts for Nicky and then stopped at 2 Thrift shops....They love to spend my money......
Izzy, your picture was gorgeous....Isn't it funny, how you get this mental picture of someone and then when you see the real person, find it's nothing like that picture? Well, Izzy, I pictured you as a back hills farmer, complete with bib overalls, mud covered clodhoppers and a shotgun slung over your shoulder, lol....But, your picture proved me wrong, you are gorgeous...You whole family is gorgeous...But, somehow, you just don't look like you'd be in the barn in the middle of the night birthing a goat or helping a baby goat learn to eat..But, no matter, you are a very busy, special person and I'm so darn glad you joined us.....
Jana, I know what you mean about lazy cat...I often think our cats feel, chasing a mouse, would be beneath them..That or they just wouldn't know what a live mouse is...I also laughed at you telling DGS to shoot it! Years ago, our young neighbor called Jim late at night and told him to bring a gun...A bat had come in through the chimney and was in the living room...Jim went up with the skimmer from our pool and found her chasing this thing with a broom and kept telling him, "get your gun, just shoot it"! In the end, the poor thing gave up and jumped in the net and pleaded with Jim to take him outside (away from that crazy lady)......Would loved to have had a video.....
Suzette, if you don't mind, send that DH my way....My laundry is piling up although our washer seems to be running every day...I've forgotten how many towels are needed for a housefull.....
Oh well, best I get moving...Sure wouldn't want the car to leave without me....
You all have a great rest of the day....
Dorothy
