Tea Time....
I just talked to my sister.. I forgot the people I'm supposed to tip!! Oh yuck ):): I never see them, how many on a truck? There's the trash & a recycle truck. The mail person is getting cookies. What people do you all 'tip'?
cindyg.....oh dear, I hope you don't run into too many people!
Carole....once our children grow & have families of their own so much can change. We are happy for them but sad inside because we miss them.
I'm going to start the UFOs & UPs(Unstarted Projects)this year.
Maryq....you are so cold & I see it is coming towards me in time for Christmas. You sure sound ready!! How about a sign "DISASTER AREA....ENTER ONLY IF CLEANING"....lol It's all clean now.
Jana....have a wonderful dinner & cookie party!
Sharona.....so sorry about the virus. They're awful.
Chriss......your house will smell soooooooo good. I feel sorry for you is you have to clean up all the mess. I'm open for Christmas eve & most of Christmas.....having late dinner at my nephew's with his family & my sister. Flying not an option!!!!!....lol
Izzy.....you sound like a bake shop. I can smell all the way up here.
Dorothy.....I have Irish skin and burn just thinking of the sun. No red hair platinum blonds or I was as a child.
Tess....you sound ready. I'm as ready as I can be. will bake bread for Christmas dinner tomorrow.
Vicky....it is a job doing all the things your MIL needs. I know it took up a lot of my sister's time caring for our father.
Judi.....your lasagna sounds so good. I've never done it with dry noodles.
I'm off to sew now.....Kathy

Plastic plates - that's a good way to go. I'd be tempted to wash them and I know my DH would wash them - LOL LOL. So we might as well eat on the melmac in the trailer and the Corelle at home.
I haven't been able to fondle fabric either. All weekend I fondled wrapping paper and ribbon - LOL. It's just not the same.

Chriss, preacher cookies were Oatmeal Drop Cookies when I was growing up. Then everyone started calling them preacher cookies
They are butter, cocoa, and sugar boiled 2 minutes then add oatmeal, peanut butter, and vanilla. Drop on waxpaper and they set. Very simple and good.

Re: Monday, December 23
I am very late reading and posting today. This morning was our annual RV Park, Christmas parade. Golf carts decorated, Bikes and dogs decorated and lots of fun!!! Willy wore his new scarf and had a silk poinsettia pinned to his harness. He looked GRAND!!! For me, I wore my Elf hat and my husband red cardigan with a beaded snowflake pinned on me for decoration. It was windy and quite chilly in the 40's.
But we all had a lot of fun. Coffee and cookies and Christmas Carols in the club house after the parade.
Then off to the post office once again to mail a couple of things and WalMart to spend some more money. LOL
Everyone is getting ready for Christmas. You are all so busy cleaning, baking, cookings, shopping, wrapping, enjoying family. Oh it all sounds so great.
We are missing our children, too. That's the only part I hate about retirement. All the children are busy in their own lives and it gets very lonely at the holiday time.
Enjoy every minute with your family. The time will go way too fast!!!
Probably won't be on here now for a couple of days. So I will say
Merry Christmas to all of you.
Hugs
Velda

Chumley my beauty gray and white has been rogue for 3 days I am hoping he is just realized he is a boy and there are lots of prospects down the road LOL I road down our drive to haul garbage can up on back of 4 wheeler and didnt see him anywhere. Pray he is ok such a beauty he is so gentle and kind:(
Girl furbabies came in and laid under my feet while I baked such sweeties too.
My its gotten cold here again shew my legs feel like two icecubes.
Tess we call those cookies "No Bakes" here. I make mine without pb I substitute marshmellow creame quite yummy too:) Over the years I have had to make a many substitutes for the pb. Soybutter called wow butter at wally world is a close twin to pb. I love that stuff. Its been 9 years since I have had any nuts. Two anaphalaxic seizures put a stop to that. Still crave them--Peacan pies and Paydays mostly:) Butterfingers were and lil bit a honey were my favorite candybars. Oh well now its tootsie rolls lOl eat them by the bag full:)
Well better get my 2 2legers fed:)
Then headed to sewing room for a while:)))
