My poor kitten this morn, reached the -8C, snow/ice on ground. Went to garage for garbage he scaddle behind me, close the garage door, and where is kitten? Wait and wait for him to come back, no ktn. As good intuition had it I to return to garage to clear the snow, out jumped ktn.. How happy I was to know he was safe.;..

Good morning!

Glad to see you here today!

It is cold and cloudy with a chance of rain/snow here today - my mountains are covered in clouds and snow - still, they look very pretty from here.

Sarah and I have our LA class tonight - they moved the time up earlier - so she will meet me there. I have my notebook and manual already to go with me!

So not much else here - just working on Christmas gifts for the family.

Matt's house will close on time! Prayers were answered. His walk thru is scheduled for either late Friday afternoon or early Monday morning - that way some of the punch list fixes can get done before they close on Wednesday morning. The super has told Matt, that they will give him the keys, even if the house has not recorded - the funding is sitting at the escrow office right now, so that is not a problem. They are very happy - even have plans that on Wednesday night, the tile and grout in the bathrooms and laundry room will be sealed before they move in on Thursday. Matt and family have waited a long time to have a home big enough for all of them and space to move around in!

So I am off - quilting - just on my regular sewing machine the wreath quilts - I keep making more of them as I think of someone else that needs a gift!

Hugs
Jana

Good afternoon....

Chriss....I was with you on that exotic island too! That's why I haven't posted in a while. I just took a longer vacation is all!

Jules...I am like you, I don't like changing doctors either. I don't like change much of any kind.

Izzy...good luck with all your new babies and the ones to come. I know you have cats and dogs and chicks but do you have any other animals? If so I know why you are retiring! I still haven't found my martelli rotary cutter I bought at the sewing expo.

Shirley Mae....so glad you made it to your sons and found a nice place to live and by Christmas too. I am excited for you.

Kathy...your new life seems to be so much better. What are your plans for Christmas? That's good that you have a nice quilt guild to go to. I have been to a few here but it seems they are too clicky and too much politics. I just want to go sew and learn and have fun!
When you draw on your ex's ss will your payment go up? I am asking for my own benefit. I had heard it but wondered how it worked.

Miriam...I am with you on the veggies. I don't eat mystery meat either. I actually don't eat meat much at all. I am semi-vegetarian. Probably why my iron is low. What kind of goodies are you going to make with your pecan? I bought some today at Krogers and they were expensive. $5.99 for 6 ozs. Cooper is doing great in school. He loves it. He wakes up every day and asks if today is a school day!

Cindyg...can I put my name in the bag or do you have to be present to win? lol sounds like a fun thing to do on thanksgiving.

Vicky...hug those babies for me too. Grandbabies are a gift from god. Tell Caleb he can make me breakfast any day he wants.

I have to go pick Cooper up for school at 3:45. On Wednesday he is a car rider (which is an experience I wouldn't want to do every day). He has been going to TAE KWON DO for about 3 months. He has his yellow belt. Anyway the bus doesn't drop him off until 5:30 and he has to be there at that time.
I have to say when I read the posts probably the thing I miss the most is not being able to sew when I want to sew. BUT I wouldn't do anything different. I never dreamed I'd be 56 raising a 3 and 5 yr old. I am leaning a lot of things I never thought I'd need to know. It sure does change my perception of life....that's for sure.

Hope everyone has a great day!
Sharon

Hello...

Boy this day got away from me. I'm working on some toppers & watching Dr Who. Just love that show. I am making 2 toppers at a time & though I could keep the different fabrics separate....of I somehow managed to mess it up. So now they'll have a scrappy look.

Chriss.....Mmmmmm yes shirtless men. LOL...I's rather have the drink!!

Judi....good idea, I've wanted a Christmas quilt. I should think about it. Have a great time with your work friends & dinner.

Shirley Mae.....so good to hear from you. You sound good. Your new place sounds really good. AND you can be "home" for Christmas. I'm happy for you. (((((HUGS)))))

Maryz....yes, Kenna has reflux but no spitting up,gas stuck in the belly. She been checked & takes an over the counter medicine.

Cindyg....I have no choice & must hem all my pants. I'm just not tall enough.

Izzy....sorry your little goat is so sad. It would be so nice if one of the other goats would share a baby or kid! I love goat cheese! Thank you goats. What do you do with your milk?

Sharona.....my monthly check could go up $300. Of course I'll go with his. I got the peppermint print fabric.

Karlene....rest up & feel better.

Chickie.....I wrote that saying down. Some day I'll embroider it up, primitive style.

Sharon.....Hello There!!!! I'm sure your live is so different & busy with the 2 children. They are so blessed to have you. Yes. I'm very happy here in my new house. No Christmas plans as you How about you?
Time will tell if the guild clicky & I'll just ignore them.

Kathy

Birthing is done. Total of 8 live births 3 girls and 5 boys:) Peanuts loss of 3 would have been 11. Done til spring. Thank goodness gonna be cold in the low 30s in day and in teens at night all week. They are happy in barn under heat lamps.

I tried to give one of ladys to peanut and she wouldnt take it. So sad she just sits by all their stalls and crys.

Well time to make supper no church tonight waiting on DH to bring in medicated feed for mommas now. Shew I am worn out.

Sharon, Those grandkids of yours are so lucky to have you. I went to S.C. a year and a half ago to take custody of 2 of my grandchildren. (because of a custody battle). You are right....it does change your life. I was there for 6 months and really got to know these wonderful kids and built a really close and strong relationship with all four of them. Although it is tiring at our age (and I am older than you) I would do it all over again. I miss the time that they would come home from school and we would sit around the kitchen table and catch up on our day. I did it for 6 months not a lifetime like you. BUT you are giving those two kids a chance at life and a normal life at that. I so admire you, you are one terrific lady. Stay strong and most important LOL stay healthy.

Carole
