I’m back....

Tess – glad you slept better, hope the DRs appt all goes well for your mum

Kathy – hope the eye appt is ok and you can see to type later

Chriss – its amazing how much you can save on fuel costs with these newer cars, i hardly fill mine up

Izzy – be careful in that fog, i hate driving in fog....wow you’ve made loads of lap quilts, what a star :)

Grammie – hope your aches disappear today, take it easy and rest well

Maryz – your new quilt shop sounds almost perfect, the only thing missing, it seems, is that it’s too far away for me to pop in LOL....Scottie sounds adorsble, i can just imagine him ‘helping’ with the leaves :)

Cindyg – i will be thinking of you on Friday, and I will be envious, our is only a little show but me and Chris like the traders that are there, love the drive out into the countryside and we know of a quiet little pub where we stop after our shopping for a very scrummy lunch

Sharona – hope your health insurance hasn’t gone up by too much, have a great day

Karlene – great that you managed to get the rest of the nursery set, hope you get to visit today, gotta be more fun than peeling apples :)

Maryq – have a good day off, you have lots planned

ScrappyPat - hope your DR visit is ok x

Well I’ve been busy playing around with some fabric and a bear pattern, not sure if I’ll like the bear when it’s done, it’s a lot smaller than I thought it would be but hey, it was something to do and I think it’s good to know what you DON’T want to make as well as knowing what you DO want to make LOL back to stuffing, I’ll post a piccie when I have him finished, probably be tomorrow or the next day – take care all xxxx

Hi,

My appt went well. No problems except ageing eyes. There's a small prescription change. I can't believe how long I was there(1 1/2hrs). I had test I've never had before. Next is my new primary on Nov 6.

That's all for now my eyes are still wacky.

Anyone know where sunbonnet sue ended up? Is she still overseas relaxing or is she headed to the states? I love seeing her adventures and havent seen recent posts. Just checking on her you know the POST looses a lot of mail. Hope she isn't stranded in some dark post box:(

Good afternoon from the crazy busy place… We’ve been out picking up some pecans… silly me, I thought with the wind and rain last night the pecans would be in piles on the ground. We’re still waiting and checking and gathering what we can each day. It just takes time away from my sewing room… wherever that is; I haven’t seen it in ages.

This afternoon I’m going to Pittsburg to see my DGS in the soccer playoffs. The varsity team is 5th in the state. My grandson is 9th grade and a junior varsity player; however two JV players were selected to play with the varsity team in the playoffs. My grandson was one of the two, so I just HAVE to go see him. Tomorrow I go back over there and get a mammo, take my DD to lunch and do some shopping.

We had two inches of rain last night, so the soccer may be a mud match rather than the usual game. At least it’s fairly warm and not freezing for sitting on bleachers for a couple of hours.

Teresa—I really like Trader Joe’s and wish we had one for shopping all the time. The closest one is in Kansas City.

Scrappy Pat—best wishes to you today! So sorry we didn’t connect this time you came through the area.

I’m doing chocolate chip cookies, caramel corn and a little candy for Halloween treats. We will be lucky to have maybe 10 kids. We’ve never had that many, but I will be prepared.

MaryZ—hope your new LQS makes it! The new owner sounds delightful and is catering to the men as well. I love the Scottie photos!

Jana—I looked all over for you while I was out. Maybe you got waylaid in Scrappy Pat’s area…

Jules—Charley’s sofa looks so inviting… what a delightful display of all your lovely creations!

Sorry not to get to chat with everyone personally… I need to get some things accomplished here before I leave. I’ll be taking an umbrella… still looks like the sky could open once again…

Have a super day!

Well went up to Tehachapi - Very cold, gray and windy but I was able to find a white that I think will work. Of course I found some delightful Moda Christmas fabric on sale!!!! Bummed though that it wasn't a Friday so I could have picked up some Clam Chowder at the German bakery. Oh my mouth is watering. Did you know they don't make Clam chowder in Maine - they make Haddock chowder - so we were told :) :) Wow was it good!!!!!
Posted picture of the Pink/White Blocks some of the Lotto Pals made for Judy. Hope you get a chance to check it out.

Suzette - I have learned that DWTS is more Fan-based than talent. They really need to change the scoring.

Chickie - what is your favorite at Trader Joe's. We are making Pizza using the Lavash bread tomorrow Mmmmmmmmm

Maryz - Sounds like your new quilt shop will be a HIT and what perfect timing for the Christmas shoppers!

Izzy - Please some visit me!!! I do so much more sewing with Pals than I do alone. Imagine all the quilts we could make!!!! Need to check with Jules to see where Sue is headed. It takes a couple of weeks though to go across the seas.

Maryq - sounds like you have a great day planned. Hope you enjoy every moment!!!

Tess - I am 25 minutes away from Tehachapi, 45 miles I think to JoAnns in Palmdale so I am right there with you.

Kathy - Glad to hear all is well with the eyes. Rob and I really have to go very soon. Still getting headaches so it is now the eyes that might be causing them :)

OK got to go get some sewing done before dinner. HUGE HUGS!!!!
