Good morning (again)!

Karlene—yes, DH and I went to the same high school… never dated back then. We reconnected at our 40th; our spouses had passed within three weeks of each other 2.5 years prior to the reunion.

Scrappy Pat—Oh, I do hope you will stop by! Mom asks how you are doing; she made an apron with some of your fabric as well as some of her neck pillows. Quilting is such excellent therapy.

Jules—I would make “diet” pie for you… is there anything like that? I’m always on a diet… pecan pie is too sweet for me, but everyone else loves it.

SharonS—It seems like the art quilts make more of a splash and win the prizes around here, too. Congratulations on your excellent feedback!

Kathy—we have native pecan trees as well as paper-shell pecan trees that DH grafted 20 years ago. They are such a treat; we are waiting on them to get ready before the birds swoop in before us. Timing is everything. The ones we have so far are the little hard-shell native ones—yes, definitely lots of work there!

MaryZ—think of me with my brown fingers from the pecans. I’ve found now (a little late) that I can wear latex gloves under gardening gloves and save my hands. I managed to get poison ivy on my wrists and ankles. I love the Scottie Grows stories—keep ‘em comin’…

Vicky—thinking of you! Did you bring some hand work along?

Izzy—I have done the wrong clothes bit as well. How exciting to find some quilt shops, too. Enjoy your visit. I’m sure your DD enjoyed the ducks and geese.

Chriss—great program for Mar and friends… you are right about it not coming from “dumb ole folks” in her house… I don’t think you are dumb, but at that age, I do know kids! I was finally a lot smarter when my DD turned 21, but before that…

Judi—hope your mail is full of pink!

I have no idea what DH has planned for me today. I’d like to plan sewing, but we’ll see…

Good morning!

Boy y'all have been busy already. I'm waiting for the clock guy to get here to set up a couple of our persnickety clocks. I thought I'd pop in while I had a few minutes to see what was going on.

Suzette and Scrappy - prayers for your upcoming surgeries.

Oh drat - here he is. I hope to be back later. A big hello to the rest of you!

xoxo Sharona

Good morning everyone,

Boy, y'all sure have been chatty this morning. Just wanted to pop in and say hello.

We had such a beautiful day yesterday! It was absolutely gorgeous. Not much got accomplished...DH just worked around the house (yard) all day. He and DGS did dig a fire pit! DGS was so excited. He loves to help Papaw work out in the yard.

My quilt retreat is this week. Starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday. I will be taking leave starting on Wednesday...need to get stuff ready to take with me. I have no idea what I will be taking to work on--still in a funk.

Suzette and Pat, you both are in my prayers. Maryq, your uncle is in my prayers, too.

Well, ladies, time for me to get back to work. Only one more day to go! Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Mel

Good morning,

Ethan is having some breakfast, late with Grandpa - so I have a minute here.

Not much going on.

The fun story is that DS4 while on shift this weekend towed a off duty police unit and a out of state judges car for being parked in tow away zones. The judge was livid to say the least. I told DS4 that his name was mud in that state with the judge! LOL! At least all the judge knows is his badge number.

Tomorrow is my Activity day girls -we are decorating cookies to take to the girls that don't come very often. Just to let them know they are missed by their friends. It will be all the age groups - from the 8 y/o to my class of the 11 y/o's.

Well I am off - have a great day
Hugs
Jana

Good afternoon all! Just a quick stop in. I have been busy this morning. Our beagle Pepper hasn't been feeling well for a few days so I took her to the Vet this morning. She has a kidney infection and will have to stay at the "doggy hospital" for a couple of days for IV's to get her back to health. I knew when she turned down her favorite snack something was wrong.

I am way behind on reading what everyone is doing, but plan on trying to catch up this week. Hope everyone is fine. Prayers go out to all who need them.

Suzette - You are in my prayers. I know you will get through this. You know we are all with you.

Cindyg - I am so jealous about your going to the Houston Quilt Show. I already have my room "booked" with my son for next year. I will be there as they say "come hell or high water" and it will be for the entire week. I have only been there once, but I am hooked. I have been to the Paducah show also but Houston wins "hands down'.

Well, better go get something done. I get to call and check on Pepper in a couple of hours. Amazing how we get so attached to our furry friends. I always tell my DH the dog doesn't give me half the trouble you guys did. LOL
