Re: Thursday September 26,2013
Red letter day here!!!!!! Medicare reversed it's decision and will continue to pay or Orencia, my infusion. I got up this morning with a decision made. I was not going to start the other infusion because of all the side effects that were possible.. (like a bowel perforation) I decided to deal with the pain and whatever damage was going to happen. Thought the side effects were too risky. I told God I was leaving it in his hands and I would deal with whatever he decided. Thank heavens it turned out this way. Wonder why they reversed it????????
Scrappy Pat - I am so saddened by the news. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hang it there and think positive thought. Hugs.
Chriss - Why you didn't have a second son --- too funny. You know that thread catcher you made me. I love, love it. I like the size especially. Everyday I use it and think of you.
MaryZ - Still having fun with Scottie, I see. Oh I am so jealous.
Ken had to put the gate back up to my sewing room because devil dog would sneak in there while I was concentrating and grab my shoe, or a Kleenex and take off running. So enough of him wanting me to chase him...up went the gate. After all I have 4 more throws to embroider for Christmas. This is Santa's workshop and no dogs can interfere with that. Maybe Medicare can, but not dogs. LOL
Judi - thank you so much for the kind words. All our worrying and they reversed it. I am just so thankful. I saw what happened to my Mom and how she suffered. Not a situation I want to find myself in. This summer was a real eye opener. It really showed me that I am not in remission. But it is good to be me today.
Gotta run, my friend, Ann is taking me out for a birthday luncheon.
Hugs and lots of smiles,
Carole

Re: Thursday September 26,2013
Mel, I talked to DD last night and she said she was better but her head was sore. I haven't talked to her yet today but we're picking her up at 2:30 to take her to her OB appt so I'll see then. She has 6 weeks left to go
)
Talked to Mom this morning, her and Dad were heading out the door for his PT appt; he has bone spurs on his neck and that's what's been causing his nasty headeaches. He's trying to put off his bioptsy till they make a trip back to Virginia to see Grandma and over to Indiana to see my Aunt, Mom's trying to get him to go ahead and do it before they leave though....he's already had to wait over a year because he was on plavix from last yr when he had a 90% blockage and they put a stint in him....for some reason that Dr wouldn't take him off of it for the week so a bioptsy could be done.....he has growths in his breasts that are hurting him really bad and we are hoping and praying they aren't cancer. Poor guy has had a couple mammos and ultra sounds and he says the mammos really hurt....I could imagine....when they did mine in April and had to do the extra couple different directions then what is a normal mammo those were kinda painful but at least I had something for them to put in the machine...not much but something....can you imagine how painfull it is on a man to have it done when they don't have boobies? they pull it up off the chest wall....he said it was very painful and gritted his teeth, he doesn't want to have it done again either....the growths hurt just to touch them let alone squeesh them. I have to go back next month for a receck on mine.
Well I better scoot, need to eat lunch and pickup anything I've missed so I won't have to do anything when I get back home tonight. I might just talk DH into either takeout or eating out tonight.

Good Afternoon Everyone -
ScrappyPat and Gershwin - Prayers are being said for you and your loved ones.
Chriss - Congratulations to Marilyn!
Carole - Glad to hear Medicare changed their mind. I receive an injection that has been deemed medically necessary about once a month, yet the insurance company claims each month that they have not received the proper documentation and witholds payment. It is crazy!
Kathy - If you think you receive a lot of mail from AARP, and you haven't become eligible for Medicare yet just wait. Insurance Companies bombard you with offers! I received something at least three times per week for 4 months. Glad Kim is getting treatment.
Mel - Make an appointment and get your eyes dialated. The dialate my eyes so often it isn't funny, so you have NO excuses.
Now for all you "Grey's Anatomy" fans - On the ABC Official website you can watch the season finale from last May on your PC. Look for the website and they have full episodes! I watched "Grey's Anatomy" and "Parenthood" yesterday, because I knew I wouldn't remember what had happened. lol If you have a digital TV and a wireless connection on your laptop you can even plug into your TV (change the source) and watch on your TV. It is very cool!! DH and I have done it when we miss an episode or we are too tired to stay up so late. We have recently watched episodes of "Who do you Think You Are?" even though we do not have cable.
I know I haven't addressed all of you, but by the time I came here there were 22 posts. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Have a great day!
Carol

DD Dr's appt went good
)baby Easton is growing nicely and this 2 week window DD didn't gain any weight which they were fine with. Giggle, giggle...she's gained 50 something pounds already which they are fine with because she started out at 107 and 5'5" tall....she just eats way better when she's prego LOL she can't help it but she'll get back down to her size 2/3....she did with Jaz and she gained 63 pounds with her. She has her Daddy's metabolism.....good thing both our kids take after him
)
Talked to my Aunt when we got home and she's going Monday afternoon to see the 2nd oppinion Dr.
I'll be off to PT in the morning and DH will be dropping Duncan off for his bath and haircut and being spoiled some more LOL like he could even get more spoiled. Then I'll be picking up my orders for my mammo for next month.
Oh I dropped my quilt off to be quilted and the teacher for my BOM class was there and she loved it! Said nobody else did my layout
) LOL yep, gotta be different, never have done the same as everyone else.
I hope you all have a good night.
Tina
