Re: Happy Hump Day Wednesday August 28,2013
Good morning! - it is for just a few more minutes here!
I just got little one down for his nap - I am good for about 3 hours of me time! Sewing is first up on that time!
The dirt is all in the backyard now - the tractor is scraping up the street - cleaning it the best he can and then we will go out with the brooms and shovels and finish the job. We will have to smooth out where the little tractor could not get in the back yard as well - but at least all 150 cubic yards are back there and I didn't have to use a wheelbarrow! LOL
Sarah has about half of the current house already packed up - ready to go on Monday - Labor Day - fitting I think - she will be laboring on the holiday! LOL
Not much else gong on here - the weather is gorgeous! Puffy clouds all around - but wait until 3 pm and the thunder storms will roll in. Rained really hard across the valley last night, but just spit on us - so the street dirt stayed fairly dry.
Now with the good dirt a garden might just grow and we will be putting in boysenberries, raspberries and several fruit trees - still arguing over what types. The berries are on one of the tiers of the great wall.
Well I need to scoot
Hugs

Re: Happy Hump Day Wednesday August 28,2013
Good afternoon from very wet, very dark, miserable rainy, SW. Pa...Now that's a switch from my normally purrfect SW. Pa, isn't it? It's been raining off and on since last night and was so humid this morning, almost unbearable but in the last hour, has probably dropped at least 10 degrees....Weird!
I, like most of you, really enjoy the "hump" commercial...At 1st, I had no idea what was going on...Almost ever Wed. I try to be the 1st to text the kids with "Do you know what day this is?"......
I talked to Kathy last night and she was telling me about an earth quake that hit her area the evening before...It was only a 4.1 but she said, it sure did shake things up....New experience for her....
Chriss, love the butterfly story and I do believe these things are connected...I can remember my Mom always said, how she'd love to be a fly on the wall...After she passed and during the visiting, there was one fly always flitting around and the day of her service, a fly just happen to land on my shoulder...I knew she was OK and I still talk to that fly on the wall.....Wow, a new job, that's great.....
When I talked to Kathy last night she told me, Cari will be dancing at the Pgh. Feis (competition) in October...It's been a while but I'm getting geared up for more dancing.....
Maryz, Sept. 5th is a special day also my oldest DS's birthday...I can picture that red haired baby already....
Vicky, sorry to hear you're having tooth problems...Hopefully it will be an easy fix and you'll be good as new....Happy "girl" day.....
I hate not gabbing to all of you but just know I'm thinking of you all and have you in my prayers......
You all have a great day..................

Irish - a 4.1 is a pretty good earthquake - especially if it was shallow - she will get used to them!

Hi to everyone
)
Well I'm back from the Dr. he sent me for PT so I took the orders and they can't start anything untill the attorney gives them a letter....it's a letter that stops them from billing me or something like that...I really hope the attorney will take my case because without an attorney I'm at the mercy of Progressive Insurance and they don't want to pay for anything.....Prayers would be greatly appreciated.
It has been sprinkling here very lightly all morning
) Love It! We are in the 70's and tonight 66*
) Fall is coming and I'm standing with arms wide open to greet it!
)
MaryRose, I was still sleeping when you were drinking your coffee
) thanks for the offer though ;o) How are things progressing on the quilting and your thumbnail? I'll try to call you Saturday after your Saturday morning cartoons
)
Chriss, thank you
)
Maryq, I received my card today in the mail and my info matches my pm for my Elf
) just thought you might like to know
)
Maryz, September 5th is my baby brothers birthday
) I hope we have 2 reasons for cheer!
Jules, our Internet has been a little slow lately too....hmmmmmm I hope you get all yours worked out
)
Well I better scoot, need to see what I'm fixin for supper.....right now I have no clue....DH doesn't much like "no clue" for supper LOL
I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.
Tina

Re: Happy Hump Day Wednesday August 28,2013
Just got home with mild headache and vegged in front of this laptop to read your posts when I realized I am dehydrated all I have had to drink today is cup of coffee. YIKES no wonder head hurts. LOL so I have now downed two large glasses of water. Guess where I will be in a few min LOL. My DH calls me hummingbird bladder already:)
Hump day is over one more work day then off to quilt expo on friday I am excited. Cant wait to meet up with Sharon and meet another poster from here:))
Didnt get to sew last night. not tonight either church for us. I did make 2 loaves of bread, batch of cinn buns and 48 muffins from my amish bread starter. YUM. Also picked 2 5 gallon buckets of apples off neighbors trees to make apple butter with this weekend. MOre picking when DH is up to it with ladder.
Supper tonight homemade biscuts, fried apples, sausage and eggs.
DD rash is now a purple color. Too wierd. almost like a bruise. she seems fine. New reflux med is a lot easier to give so that was a plus. Gave her sleeping meds too; 3 nights she has not slept and momma needed solid night of sleep which I did get last night:)
Thanks for all you kind words with her and life. She truly is a blessing.
Loved stories on birds and butterflies. When my OMA was alive she told me that when she died she would come and visit me as a big bummble bee. She knew I was scared of them as a child. So now my mom and I tease all the time when we see a huge black and yellow bumble bee that OMA is checking in on us.
Funny how we all can relate to these stories and how we were told a similar one:)
Well better get biscut dough made and supper going. Also need to milk before church.
God Bless and happy thoughts:)

Re: Happy Hump Day Wednesday August 28,2013
Good afternoon...
Izzy...I have to be nosey and ask you who else you are meeting up with on Friday? I am so excited to FINALLY meet an actual forum friend! and the sewing expo.. Boy do I ever need it. Glad your dd is doing better and that you were able to get a full night sleep.
Chriss...yeah for you!! I hope you get the job. Funny about Mar and uniforms. Here in our public school system the decision as far as uniforms go is left up to each individual school. Doesn't make sense to me but then they didn't ask my opinion either.
Kathy....maybe you will be able to sleep in your own bed soon. I hope your dd stays on the mend and continues to improve. It's hard being away from home. I am a homebody so if I was you I'd been home a long time ago!
Vicky..... hope your toothache isn't bothering you too bad. There is nothing worse than a toothache. I hope you can get in the dentist soon too.
Maryz....prayers for your dd. There is something special about little girls. I have 2 daughters and had no idea what to do with boys. When Cooper was born it sure didn't take me long to figure it out.
Chickie....too bad about your other building burning. Has your area been dry this summer?
Suzette...prayers for your test results. I hope your crick in your neck is better too.
It is extremely hot here. So hot the a/c doesn't feel like it's working. It's hard to imagine how fast summer went by.
I am asking for prayers.. I know this may sound silly to some but I need to get Cooper circumcised. I took him to the pediatrician today and he referred us to a urologist. It makes me so mad that he wasn't when he was born. He's been having some problems with it and now that I can do it I am. The ped said there was a lot of medical reasons to have it done.
Well I am going to take the kids outside, neighbor gave them Frisbees and I am trying to teach them how to throw them.
Hope everyone has a great evening.
Sharon

Re: Happy Hump Day Wednesday August 28,2013
Good evening! We got through a day without a fire! LOL!!! There sure is a big mess to be cleaned up now.
Izzy—I love fried apples! We used to have them with pork chops when I ate at Grandma’s. Your dinner sounds delish!!! I hope you will come the southern route on your way to CO!
Chriss—When I was watering this morning, I felt something on my shoulder. It was a butterfly.
Irish—how is Kathy with the fire out there? I heard Reno is enveloped in the smoke. I always giggle at the hump day commercial. How funny about the fly—do you ever swat them???
Jana—yay for the dirt! Now you will be busy!!!
Sharon—we had quite a bit of rain a few weeks ago, but it’s dry again. We can use some nice showers. Our pastures are still green—very unusual for this time of year… we are not complaining, and the cows love it!
Have a super evening!
