Afternoon Pals -
The morning escaped me. I got up the nerve to go to bed a bit after 3am but read for a while until my eyes couldn't focus anymore. Rob's alarm went off at 4am. Guess I finally fell asleep after that. The alarm went off at 9:30 but i rolled over and slept some more. I am now up, had breakfast but the power went off so I haven't been able to do much sewing yet.

Grammie - I love your scarecrow! He is adorable. Can you share your famous recipes please? Definitely prayers for the surgery and your bones.

Izzy - how wonderful son lives near you now. What does he do? How old? Married? I have a DD that is 31 - Giggling :)

Vicky - your lookout is stunning. Glad you were able to just get in the car, go for Ice cream and relax :) :) There are just times we need those moments.

Delores - Happy birthday to your DH. Laundry here is at night or on weekends during the summer. Rates are drastically lower. Sometimes I hate it but don't want to support the electric company to much. i would love any magazines you would like to share especially if you have the 2007 Quiltmaker Mag. It has a Falling Leaves Pattern in it.

Maryz - i set my timer as well. It actually forces me to get up, stretch and move. My therapy guy can always tell if I haven't - LOL!!
Rob has a program that allows him to enter the Width and length of the wood he is using and then what sizes each piece is. It will tell him the arrangment to get the maximum use. I gave him my measurments of the fabric and the sizes and it showed me how to cut the 336 pieces - WOW!!!! Not much room to spare. I did have to order more of the background though. My fault. I only ordered 1 yr because I wasn't sure how it would look. Ordering online can be scary.

Vicky - How do you cut all those peaches to can? I can only imagine what color your fingers are. Prayers for your back and feet :)

Sherry - Hope you left some energy for some Sewing time :) :)

Chriss - DD and DS#2 played the violin. Evan wanted the sax but they were taken. DS#1 played the guitar. I can also tell you I wouldn't trade a moment. When we moved to CA they became soccer players. Some days were definitely hard when the temps and emotions were high. Enjoy the sour notes and wonderful times in the moment. They will definitely be worth it especially years later. Hope you have video :)

Maryq - I am sew glad to know I am not the only one who slaps themselves out of a funk :) :) One of the reasons I love being a hostess - I have the extra week to work on my blocks :) :)

Power is back on so I can post this and get into the sewing room. Hope you are all having a great day!!!!

my potato salad is just the standard Teresa, all your favorite veggies and the dressing is half mayo half sour cream....I add a little frsh dill, salt and pepper and some chives and parsley all frsh...Kids like it. My coleslaw is the 1/2 mayo 1/2 sour cream, salt pepper and dill. I like onions in both but my DD hates onions so I leave them out. Garden green pepper and cukes, shredded carrot in the cols slaw. anything I have in the potato sald..including hard boiled eggs. It really isn't famous but my DIL refers to it that way. LOL

I did get the carpet shampood in the camper and everything put away, I am read y to go....I even made a hair appt for tues for a perm and cut...that way when I go to the hospital I won't scare everyone. I did a fall hexxie table topper and I think I am going to do a winter one,,,,I was going to LA some tops but the power isn't finished in the basement. So no power to the LA. Ken will fix it tonight but too late to go down there and work.

Hope you are all having a fabulous evening....XXXOOO
