Well got home from painting 4 bookshelves lavender in my room. The school I am at I call the wicked step sister of the district poor school only gets the hand me downs from other schools. My book shelves were disgusting rusted and yuk. But now are beautiful and lavender:))Going to hang fabric to keep the lil ones from messing with stuff on shelves. I also need to make a fabric display board in my room for kids work AHHH what was I thinking waiting to last minute LOL. Oh well noone really comes by the speech room at open house anyway:( But this is my first one at this school so maybe they will. By the way I am a speech therapist and work with K-8 kids:) Love it dont have same kids all day:)) thank goodness. I will head back there tomorrow after my 8-12 training to finish unpacking boxes and setting up rest of room. Furniture is in place and thats it so far. I did sweep up all the bugs off the floor. Building was sprayed and I think my room was the water bug hotel LOL Last year my room had lizards and roaches the size of quarters. It was awful I had sticky traps under everything even got my foot stuck on one LOL.

Chriss my daughter mainly goes to the adult day center for social interaction. She watches tv with other clients. They go on outings like to movies or mcdonalds for ice cream. This week a church is having a bbq and they were invited. She cant really do a job poor fine motor skills and comprehension. Even though she is 26 she has a mentality of a 3-4 yr old. She has no verbal skills; unable to speak due to severe apraxia of speech. A few words pop out here and there but are random at best.

Kathy please post pic of teapot quilt I am dieing to see it:)))I love teapots:)

Scrappy pat please come clean up my stash when your done with yours:)) I would love for it to be organized. Right now its called Tote organized LOL
Ok I am going to work on owls after fixing me some sweet tater fries for lunch. I am starving.

I'm back...I have a bad update on my daughter Kim.....
The 'infection' she has is really Heparin Necrosis. I looked it up online not a good thing to have. The growing discoloration is dead skin. She is beyond upset...she is on the way to the the big university hospital on Long Island. This poor girl have been through so(too)much. She's concerned she'll have some reaction to something with the upcoming surgery. Yes, she will be having another surgery & hospital stay. Right now it's wait & see for me as far as my going there.

She & the Dr's need your prayers again. Thank you.......(((HUGS)))

I've been on the phone alot so I've done only a little sewing. I hemmed my bedroom sheers. My head is spinning....

Sharona....wow, that was a wonderfully busy time.

Chriss....sounds like work was smooth & not 2x4 over the head. I've never heard of a rebate debit card. How did you get them?

Karlene....the cool/dry is wonderful! Hope you get all you need done for the visit. Good idea..I'll look for a compressor. I didn't know there was an option for me. But $10 was good for him coming & filling it and the repair.

Maryz...if I can find my camera I'll take a picture and try to load it up or whatever it's called. I think it's cute. Enjoy your busy day

ScrappyPat....how wonderful to share a sew day with DD. You got up with the birds today.

Jana....you sure do have a lot going on there. Will add your niece's husband to my prayer list.

Vicky....the top came together nicely....she'll love it.

Chickie.....the patterns went in the mail today. Zucchini jam? That's a new one for me. I have a recipe for 1700 on Long Island for Orange Marmalade using one orange & grated carrots. Oranges were scarce.

Maryq.....I'll be over to sign up.

Oh there goes the phone............

School starts for me next monday is opening day for teachers. Kids start on Wed I think. I know early but in KY gotta miss those three flakes of snow that will shut down school for a week LOL. Northerners will get a good laugh Ky wont but its true:) If you dont get snow and have never driven in it you can laugh too. Oh but I do love a good snow day:)) We get out in may right before Memorial day if no snow makeups:) As the weather is crazy now It makes me worry about winter here.

kathyquilts so sorry your dd is struggling with healing and has to have another surgery. I will keep her in my prayers:)

well supper is done kids have gone home and all the toys are putup. we keep4 bins full of their toys here and they are like new stuff each time...we also made a few dozen paper airplanes and a parachute guy,

Today we went to a local dairy farm...it is where I get my "Vat Pasturized Small batch" Milk. it is healthy for you beciase the probiotics are still in it. and this farm uses no chemicals or hormines or antibiotics on there cows, (unless of course they are sick) then they are isolated and their milk is tested till it is free of infection or antibiotics. We had a great time...Sophia fell in love with a huge pot bellied pig and wanted to take him home....He probably weighed 200 lbs/ We bought bags f cracked corn and a Rooster which she named "Goldie" followed her around and became her best friend. We fed ducks and donkeys and goats and sheep. geese and fish in the lake. We visited all the baby calves and drove by the pasture with the bulls and the cows out to graze. They have a shop there where they sell homemade ice cream and we stopped for some too. It was a grand day. Ken just said to me..."I miss the kids already" and they just live 15 minutes away. Well my sewing room need a bit of attention and I need to make a trip to Joanns for some Kona. I will get back to sewing tomorrow...Here are a few pics of our day
