I went and bought material tonight for the quilt. I got a pinky/salmon color with large dark salmon flower for the borders and then a dark salmon, green, brown and lighter salmon color for the star. It's not colors I would have picked for my self but it's not for me! I can NOT wait to start this and we have cleaning tomorrow, cleaning here on Saturday for church that is here on Sunday! I won't be able to start until Monday at the soonest.

Joanne - The fabric sounds beautiful! You will do fine with the pattern just take it slowly. It is not a race.

Vicky - The fabrics do sound beautiful! I made a two green, peach and burnt orange quilt for the TV room last year. They are quite pretty. It will be fun for you to be working with colors you would not choose. You might decide that your really do like the colors. It will be a very contemporary quilt. The pattern is really pretty.

*Smile*

Thankd *C7* for thinking about me.
I just got home from getting those blasted MRI's done.
Thank God they gave me Xanax.
I hardly felt the IV he had to put in.
They kept me IN there for MORE then 90 minutes.
Glad it is over with.

I am ready to do the binding of my quilt by hand while watching tv tonight.
This is a first for me to do binding by hand.

Vicky - The block and colors your neighbor picked should make an awesome quilt. You will have to post the first block when you get it done

T - How exciting to be sewing the binding on a quilt. It takes me a few days to sew the back of the binding on my hand. Is this the twin size Charming Quilt? What colors did you use?

I had my dizziness tests today. One of the test involved squirting water into my ear canals 2 times no each ear cold water then hot water. I go next week for a follow up and I sure hope they can tell me something.

Anyway my head isn't spinning at the moment and I was able to have caffiene again tonight and that sure tasted good to me and I get to take my prozac again. I had to go without both before the tests for a couple of days and that was no fun.

I spent the rest of my day working on my basket of flowers quilt. It would be nice to get this one done and to my LQS this weekend so I can get paid and get another one to work on.

I am going back to sewing for a little while.

Mcmema knows what she is talking about Vicky... take lots of deep breaths... and you do make beautiful quilts...

Q7... keep practicing and soon you will be a pro at that embroidery stuff.

Cindyg you come on over here and we will let you be a princess too... DH will spoil you a bit... but not enough to make you want to move in...lol.

Carole, time does go too fast.. wouldn't it be nice to have just one 24 hour day.... and have it all to yourself.

Joanne, I remember talking about that quilt... but don't remember the question I had.. sorry, I am old and the grey hair tickles my brain... which explains a lot...

Vicky what a pretty quilt it will be... I love the pattern.

Tul, how did the MRI go??? I can tell you are getting back to being your old self.

Vivian, you must be a real blessing to your Aunt

Oh Carin, the kids let you sleep in so that they wouldn't be put to work so early.. they weren't being nice, they were getting out of work... little stinkers...

Xteacher, what kind of a class do you teach? and you are right... people who don't quilt don't get it... that should be on a sampler...

grammie it is so good to hear from you.. we miss you too... sounds like you are having a super time... I bet you are glad you didn't turn right in Kentucky.... hope you come home soon....

Joanne, sounds like it will be a beautiful quilt.. so, whatcha makin for the ugly swap??? I have everything I want to make ready to go... the fabric should be here soon then I am ready to go... I am excited wo see how Michelle likes what i make and to see what she comes up with.

I don't know why I am so pooped but I could easily fall asleep... so I think I will go sit in the recliner and watch tv.... my eyes will be open but I may have the lids on them for a little bit.

*T* I've got claustrophobia so the thought of anyone in a tight MRI machine for 90 minutes or more gives me the heebee jeebees. I had one in 1995 before my back surgery. I had to keep my eyes closed and they only gave me one dose of a relaxer, they wouldn't give me more because all the doctors had gone home and there was no one to prescribe some. I'm glad it's over for you too.

Quilter7, have you thought about going to the Qiad retreat in Julian in Nov.? I'm seriously thinking about it.

T- hope you hear GREAT NEWS SOON!

I have been running myself ragged and am exhausted. Yesterday I took my MIL to look at a rehab facility...mind you it was to LOOK and when we arrived at 2:45 we are told that he will be transferred there at 4. Good thing we liked it because it was too late to stop the process by myself by that time. While we were being given a tour I let them know that I am a Speech Pathologist with medical experience and that I actually met my husband in a nursing home....well we then kept talking and discovered that the Rehab Company that supplies therapists to the facility is a company my husband used to work with. My FIL is now being treated like the VIP he is. He has MRSA (thank-you very much to the acute care hospital..this is so common and no fun...right *T*?)
He is recovering and the facility is lovely and he is pleased. My MIL can't drive right now (she is 89) so I am her transportation on days that John has evening classes to teach. I picked her up from the rehab facility, took her home and then did her grocery shopping, picked up her prescriptions. I am grateful she has a neighbor who can take her over in the morning to the facility. But I am annoyed I just called my BIL and SIL and asked them if they could do a couple of errands on Sat (they live 4 blocks from us) so that John and I can spend time with Elizabeth before she leaves but they can't they have a picnic planned with their friends who live next door. Last weekend they couldn't because they were getting carpeting. I will get around them telling me no by telling my FIL to tell them to bring their 10 year old son to visit him...when all else fails use guilt!

sorry for the venting...time for me to take a shower and unwind before American Idol comes on....
