Good morning everyone. My electricity went out just before I was leaving for work so that was fun. My DD's daycare didn't have any either and I didn't quite know what to do. It came back on after about an hour so she is off to school and I made it into work. I was thinking I was going to have to bring her with me because I did not want to have to take another vaca. day.

After I got home work work at Joann's last night I cleaned out my laptop and got rid of a lot in there that was not needed and loaded my embroidery programs on it. Now tonight I hope to try something although I really need to do my taxes. I might get taxes done first since they shouldn't take too long while my DD is bathing then I can play after that.

And yes Gold Star Conies are great and that sounds good to me too Joanne. Every now and then I like to have a couple of White Castles also. They are good when you are in the mood for a slider or two LOL.

Good Morning all, it was 0 degrees when I got up this morning, it is 7 degrees now, supposed to get up to 21.

weeone-I just adore your DGK's nicknames, they are really cute.

msdeets-have fun with the DGK's, they are so much fun

fabricgirl-I really really do like the tossed nine patch, I want to start one when I finish what I am working on.

momof6quilts-it must be loads of fun to do art and music with the DGK's.

marilynsgrammy-with all of the quilting you do with marilyn, she will be an excellent quilter when she grows up

jameswife2003-yes, babies get fussy when they are hungary, but as they age, other things make them fussy, lol. have fun with them, and I agree---I don't know how you get so much done with two little ones.

gmann-I think it is so great you making the quilts for the shelter and the show, I bet they are beautiful.

towens71-your Lillibets Garden quilt sounds lovely, the name of it is really lovely too.

cindyg-really!!!I can't believe you are have a time making a decision as to weather to go to Bonie Blue quilts or stay home and quilt. lol.hope you get to go. I have just started getting into CW and love it. I have to find a picture of the french braid quilt somewhere, I hear people talk about it, but haven't seen one.

mequilter-glad to hear your surgery went well

joannequilts-sounds like the DGK's had a good time, I don't know what goldstar cheese coneys are, but they sound goood. what is a wild crumb quilt? sounds interesting.

happymrs-what year is your DH vw bus? I love the old ones, wish I had one.

quilter7-I am doing the same thing as you are today. will be glad to get everything done, so I can play, lol.

grammyquilts-I am so happy for you to be going on your trip, have lots of fun.

carolej-I hope your mother is feeling much better today.

As I said before, I am getting my chores done, and will sew on my candle mats for Christmas. So far, I have made 35 kleenex holders, 18 coasters, want to make many more, and for a change, started last night working on my candle mats. I really do like them. I wish you all a lovely day.

beccasmom-I am so happy for you that you have your new machine, there is nothing better to perk up a quilter than a new machine. have lot of fun with it. if I remember correctly, don't you also make your daughters clothes? I used to sew for mine when they were little. have a good day.

I do sew some of her clothes and plan on sewing alot more for her this year with my new machine. It will be nice to be able to put some embroidery on her clothes.

It might take me a few months to learn the machine but I just know I will.

I know. I really want to leave work now so I can go home and try some. It doesn't help that I am very caught up but I will hang in there.

Traci I just love Beth Ferrier patterns....Lots of applique...if you have ever seen her in person she is a stand up comic sooo funny,

Glad to hear Mary Ellen is home and recovering. Lay low and let someone wait on you for a few days!

CaroleJ - glad your Mom is doing better - it's funny how they (Moms, Dads, Kids, Spouses, etc.) always take it better from the Drs than from us, isn't it??

WeeOne - you're making me feel guilty! I've had MOST of a quilt top on my wall for almost a year - needs one more 'round' to make it the right size for our RV. Sure would like to finish it before Paducah - cause we're taking the RV there, and I want to invite ALL my forum sisters for dessert some evening!

jameswife - I'm so glad you have the energy to get up early to get things done while the boys are still sleeping! I'm an early bird now, but I wasn't when my kids were little - I hated to get up in the morning!

Mary Ellen, it's good to see you on here even if just for a minute. I hope you aren't in too much pain. Watch out for those walls - they an jump right out in front of you - LOL

If I go to Bonnie Blue Quilts I won't buy anything because I'm not ready to do a quilt with Civil War fabrics yet. I just want to go look and sniff. Her booth at the quilt show was wonderful. On the other hand if I stay home I will actually get some sewing done. I spent time last Saturday at LQS's so I really should stay home and sew this weekend. For those that don't know about Bonnie Blue Quilts, Katy TX, you can go to the website and have a look. Just google it. It is about, oh , 40 minutes from my house. About as far as the two quilt shops we went to last weekend in Katy. Maybe I'll see how much sewing I get done tonight and tomorrow night and then make the decision to go or not go to Bonnie Blue.

towens - I'll have to look up Beth Ferriers website.

CaroleJ - you didn't say "I told you so" to your mom, did you? Seriously, I hope she's better soon.

Quiltfan60 - I think you can google French Braid quilts or go to Quiltville (I think). I bought the book.

Brenda - I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with your new machine.

WOW towens71 - Lillibets Garden is gorgeous. Pieced and appliqued. So pretty. Are you doing it in the same colors that are on the cover of the book?
