I finished putting together the center of my star struck quilt yesterday, but I don't have border fabric for it yet. I was going to go to the fabric store to get some, but DH took the car seat to work with him! So I've been working on my patience corners quilt instead. I only had 3 more blocks to do, so I finished those up and have all the blocks sewn into rows. I'm just waiting for my iron to heat up so I can press them, then I'll sew them together and have the center for that quilt done! I have the border fabric for it so I'll probably go ahead and put borders on it and get it out of my UFO pile:) I'm not so good at the quilting part of it, so I'm trying to talk DH into letting me get a really REALLY cheap long arm when we get the money saved up.

well it is 2:15 and the afterschool meeting was just cancelled :) looks like I have to go home and sew :)

I have had a fun day the kids were all in great moods and focused, the lack of high winds for the first time in a feww days had a calming effect on them. Nice huh?

I will check in later I will be so glad when I get the wireless working on my laptop again! I don't like sitting and chatting on our main computer because I can't curl up in my chair and relax the same way...but I have got a great deal of sewing done this way :)

I am stocking up on regular lightbulbs cause the compact floresents give me migranes.

I am such a dork I just took my medication twice.

Vicky glad you're feeling better...

Sandy, Can't wait to see your superman quilt... sounds really cool.

Judi, scalloped boarders.....ugh... I thought scalloped was only for potatoes..... real glad to hear about the baby... I have been thinking about her off and on all day... oh, I told DH about it being a heat wave at your place... he said he was pruning the roses in his t-shirt today.... if you and your DH wanna come get warm come on ahead...

Quilt class is starting for me todya... every thursday for a while.. it is an adult education put on by the community college and it's free... basically it's a big room with great tables and a lot of hen party talking going on... it's fun

you all have a great night, I will check in later on... I want to go to the heart section to see if I missed anything.

I have been making curtains for my livingroom and sewing room tonight and it is so cold outside that I was freezing downstairs sewing. I am really debating on going to work tomorrow or not. Just the idea of going out in below zero temp and taking Becca to school is not a good thought to me at this point. We will see how I feel in the morning.

My curtains are looking nice though and I have put a lining on them also. The material is Home Dec material so it is quite heavy. I am hoping it will help block out some of the cold air.

Well off to bed I go. I will talk with you all tomorrow.

Brenda
