Hi Chriss - Well I went to the gym today to work out, which means I did an hour on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weight training. I really needed to make up for the very light work out yesterday. I gained back all the weight I had lost so I really need to be working out.

I did mail the blocks but they really don't get picked up until 12:30. I guess about right now, so depending on pick up you still might have beat me. This is day 45 of exercising so you can add about 10 days to that for your quit! Good for you!!!

I will try to post a picture after lunch.

Well, I got side tracked with shoveling out the drifts from the driveway. The sun has come out and it was kind of nice to be outside for several hours. I'm a pretty bad shoveler, but DH and DD#1 were out so I thought I'd have it cleared before they got back - nothing like getting stuck in your own driveway! The christmas tree is down and some of the decorations. Just washing up the rest of my christmas dishes so they can be put away. Took time for a lunch break, but now should get going and get the other boxes out of the barn and pack up the remaining decorations.

Chriss - your hubby sounds like mine, he won't eat anything with mayo, sr. cream, cottage cheese, salad dressing, mustard, cr. cheese, etc. It makes cooking a challenge! We also drink peppermint tea.

Nice to hear the weather is good in Colo. today - my parents are there.

It looks like most everybody is busy and COLD here today. I am busy, but not as cold as some. It is 65 and sunny here, but I have a sweatshirt on inside. I am just one of the cold bodies that inhabit this earth. I have been busy this morning. I started to clean out & reorganize the sewing room and got side tracked on the large file cabinet with all the old papers/bills/pictures/etc in it. I haven't cleaned that thing out in almost 2 years so I guess I did a good thing. Yesterday was a fun day. I went to LQS and picked up about 1/2 of my fabric for my birthday swap blocks & the calendar blocks!! Whoopeeeeee, I am ahead in that race so far.

Quilter7, I agree with the pinwheel layout

**T** I hope you are feeling MUCH better.

Karlene, It looks like your DH is a duplicate of all of ours. Mine can't understand where all his tools go after I have cleaned up things. I have to find them in the tool box for him even when he is told what drawer & what spot in the drawer to find them. Just last night he walked all the way from the bedroom to the kitchen to ask me where the stool was that was in the closet. Yep, you guessed it, right where he put it, but the hanging clothes were in his way. You know the commercial with the kids yelling, "MOM" when they are looking for things???

Well, I guess I had better get to the project that sent me to the computer in the first place. I just had to check in here first!

Well after about 2 hours I have most of the Christmas stuff packed away. I had to drive DD#3 to work so I had to stop working on the house clean up for now.

I am running back upstairs to do some sewing for a couple of hours. I have just a bit more to go on a rag lap throw that I am doing.

Well I just got back from Mariposa... the little town about 15 minutes from here... went to the post office and also went looking for Christmas tree ornament from my area... well, I walked up and down the streets and looked in every tourist shop for two blocks on each side... all I found was a wooden cheapie... Monday after work I will look in one other place and see what they have.

I did find an ornament we can all make.. it was a piece of felt cut into an octogon the size of a silver dollar with a hand painted snowman face... they were selling it for $3.oo but I got 60% off

Cindy, look under projects from the heart section... GP's block request is in that seciton

Judi, what's the hockey pattern called... doesn't matter how hard it is you will master it...

You rock Q7.... my walk was walking the streets of Mariposa... but you are using the gym... our college offers aerobics and other classes... maybe I should look into it.... funny, every time I see the word elliptical I think of hair removal.... you are my hero... keep up the good work.

Karlene, if we had meat and potatoes every single night he would be so so happy... plus he eats more junk than anyone I know... candy, cookies, you'd think he would have a sugar problem but everytime he gets his blood drawn he is normal.... but what I do like about him not liking the mayo and mustard ect... is that it is always there and we never run out....

I am going to iron the fabric I washed today and will check in later

Well, this will be my final entry for the day, but my christmas decorations are also all down! WooHoo! Just went grocery shopping for the weekend and don't think I'll accomplish anything else of importance today. My back is tired, but my heart is happy. Have a good evening all!

Fabric was purchased, tummy is full now is UK would win this game, I will be happy.

Went to the LQS that is closing. Was hoping to meet Vivian there, but our timing was off. I was there long enough to decide that if I didn't leave I would be broke. Then stopped at Hancock's and Joann's. I am through shopping for a while.

WOOHOO, UK just scored!!!

Chriss, my DH doesn't like most of what you mentioned. However, he will eat my leftovers that has mayo on them and will eat certain salad dressings. He also won't put sour cream on a baked potatoes but loves when I make mashed ones w/ sour cream and cheese. Go figure.

Karlene, ya know how kids won't move things to find something. I think men catch whatever causes that from their wedding ring. DH gets really ticked when I walk in and pick up whatever he has been looking for, but the fact that I MOVED something just doesn't sink in.
I just keep saying its a good thing he's cute.

Going to watch the last 3 minutes and then hit the sewing room. Which reminds me of another DH thing. I had a bulb out in the ceiling fixture in the sewing room. When I got home, he proudly told me he had changed it. Well, he had put in one of those energy efficient ones which gave everything a blue cast. Since he's color blind, he couldn't figure out why I thought it would make a difference in my sewing. CUTE, CUTE,CUTE that is my mantra.
