Good afternoon to all. Today was my 1/2 day, so I ran errands when I got done with work, came home & had a visitor. The neighbors golden retreiver loves to visit and he's just adorable. I wish they'd take better care of him, but while he's here, he gets spoiled. She finally answered the phone the 4th time I called & then drove over to get him. It's hard for DH to plow the driveway with him running around. And, we've got a major winter storm headed this way, starting tonight into tomorrow. I seriously doubt if I'll be able to make it into work tomorrow.........they're calling for 10-14" plus winds around 35 mph. So, if they're right (& I hope they are) I'll be staying put tomorrow. I think I can find something to keep my busy...........j/k

Thanks Jennie!

Well they sedated grandma to put in the tube and when they got it to her throat it blocked her air way so they had to pull it. Something is going on with her throat that a tiny tube blocks her air compleatly. So now the Drs are trying to deside what to do for her.
Thanks for your prayers.

Hi Everyone!
I just came in from working today. The phone rang just after I walked in the door. I won a basket from one of the quilt shops that was on the shop hop this weekend! I am so excited! I will pick it up sometime this week.

Carolyn thank you for your wishes someone would win. I sure hope your car is okay.

I need to get out for my walk/run. BBL

Well, it was really nice here...60 somethin yesterday and its snowing now. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes yesterday, hopefully they got some energy out because they won't be riding bikes today.

The other day, some ladies posted about making a charm tote bag...Party Charm Tote. I'm having a hard time getting hold of a pattern unless I order it online, and I was hoping to make some gifts in the next couple of weeks. The tutorial that was posted made it look like I could make it (I can't do anything without a pattern!). Is there a similar pattern I could download, does anyone know? Or, can someone tell me about the inside pockets/envlope pocket?

Thanks!

Good evening. Yesterday after church made a run to a couple of fabric stores about 45 minutes away. Found a piece to make a jumper for DGD and a matching skirt for DIL. Bought some red with stars, and several yards of a white-just because. Thought I could put the red and white in with some of my blue package special from QIAD. How did they know the piece with the sailors and anchors would remind me of Dad? Thought it would make some placemats for my mom. Would like to finish up the ones I started for SIL(ok-they're not married but I like her a lot)
Found out yesterday that DH sis is starting a battle with C. Our vet is filling in for another vet who is out of town. The out of town vet sold the business last year-and the new vet purchaser was killed in a car accident on the 14 of Feb. along with some of her children. All of that came undone, and today their house burnt-and they lost their furbabies, except one cat. Like many of you, we are celebrating without Dad this year, and it will be one year this month since he passed. So, I am going to sew some jumpers-and wrap presents-and think of how much fun this will be with the DGD. This will be her second December here, but last year her presents were all at her house. She is two-so this is going to be a ball. Need to decide where to hang my snowan with the lights. I think DH will help on that one. Sandy, in a cold, dark Illinois, waiting for the rain and the snow-

Carolyn, I think it was The Quilt Cupboard. I got a list of the winners from one of the shops. Congrats Carol. Hope it's loaded with fun stuff. Lori
