Hi everyone,
Had a visitor first thing this morning. Stayed till nearly noon. DH is picking corn. Our field is done, but DS2 isn't and he's at work. DS3 just arrived home from helping the vet and I am fighting a knot in my stomach. One of the cows was a pain, and Ds3 got hit in the head by a bar and has a big bump on the corner of his head. He said he didn't pass out, but it sure rang his bell. I will be watching him closely the next few days.
Was able to wrap a few christmas presents this morning. Hope to do some sewing soon. If I didn't spend so much time here, I could do a lot more sewing.LOL Tomorrow we are taking my mom to the eye dr. I have piano lessons. It's cold but sunny, may be the only sunshine we get all week.Lovely, just lovely.

Hi all,
It's been nippy here in SW Ohio. That means DH is freezing. I like cold weather, he doesn't. I guess I'll wear a jacket to work tomorrow so I won't be a bad example for the kids.
The world will honor veterans tomorrow, but Cincinnati schools did it today, so I was off. Really haven't done much but laundry. Will try to sew a little tonite, but am not sure. I need to finish sewing the units out of the HST's I did before guild Wednesday nite.
Sarah, you cannot sew your butt off. I have tried and it is still there.
Hope everyone who is in Julian has fun at the retreat.
Oasis, some kits are really gorgeous. I've never had a problem w/ anything from a well known shop like Keepsake quilting.
Will go throw dinner together and watch Jeopardy while we eat.
Have a good evening if I don't get back.
Rosie

OH Mary, 22 degrees? I complain if we get one inch, which is very rare, of snow...
Linda, how are the hills holding up after the fire and then the rain? they were predicting land slides here but thankfully none happened....Which kit are you looking at? I just finished the tossed 9 patch taht I bought from QIAD in a kit... loved it....
Cathy, I love the "moved on" under your name...I pray that moving on works for you and showers you with blessings.....
Lawanna, God Bless you for taking care of your mom.... I imagine it is difficult most of the time ( thinking of my own mom here) you must be quite a lady.
Sarah, let me know how sewing your butt off works... I may try it clear down to my thighs...lol...
what a cool husband you have Carolyn,.. mine does the same for me whenever he sees something fun...
Kho, I will say a prayer for those boys of yours, your knot and that 'onery cow....
HOpe you Julian girls have a super time...
I am about to sit down and have supper or is it dinner? DH is making ham, mac and cheese and a salad... love it....
And, if I can brag.... I haven't had a cigarette since Thursday....
Hope you all have a great evening..
Chriss

Hey! It might actually snow by tomorrow here, we've been waiting (in dread) all week. I told the kids we could have burgers for dinner, not realizing the beef was frozen solid in a 5lb 'brick'. Then, the ranch dressing was different than the usual (on sale), sheesh! I'm so glad there isn't school tomorrow...they all need to sleep in!

It has been cool here today. Rain or snow alternating with a little sunshine.
If I wasn't so addicted to the computer maybe I would get more sewing done.

I've always want to go up to Vermont, never been past Chicago really, but I'm not good in the cold. Instead of sewing, I'm huddled over my cup of tea!
Marilyn's grammy....don't give up! The first three weeks are the absolute hardest. My husband has had to do 'day three' quite a few times until it stuck. Brag away!
