Back up here it has warmed to 13 but I still aint going out.
Lori, Ken is still on the books as a consultant although they havent needed him yet,,,He is thinking the new Data centers springing up will call him into action as he is am expert in the cooling systems that they operate with. He still works at the ice rink ( his other job) which doesnt pay as much but is more fun for him. it is all old retired guys and they have coffee every morning and Ken kind of supervises the ice rink. fixing what is broken. it always something,
Jana we have Longhorn Steakhoue here and we like their food. We actually have a gift card to use there,,
Val my grand daughter is getting married in July. I decided to look nice for the wedding I needed to lose 35 lbs. It is an incentive, I am just following low carb 1200 calorie a day. Its hard to give up the bread and starchy stuff, I track my food and drink, if I dont type it in I will lose track of my carbs and over eat. so far its working,
Maryz, Keep rocking the laps/ I really enjoy the Jane process. the interfacing methid of applique is for me...Im liking it. As far as the sewing machine goes...She ("Nina" is her name) is a wonder. Large bobbins large sewing area, tons of stitches and fonts...I havrnt even begun to explore the things she will do...Yu can costomize your sewing to what ever your project may be,,( Ex shotening your stitches with the turn of a dial for applique) There are so many decoraitve stitches,I dont know it I will ever use them all. Warns you to oil your machine when it needs it lets you know there is lint in the sewing area, and signals you your bobbin is about to run out ( no more dead sewing) And so much more....hope your birthday brings you a new toy to play with...xxxxoooo

Good evening. It was a great day today. Nothing like I had planned but such is life.

I had planned an Elliott day today, but dad told me he might need me so I cancelled My Elliott day. Good thing I cancelled because the fog is not safe to drive in. Well, dad didn't end up needing my help so I called a friend and we went to Sonora. The quilt store there is closing. They didn't have a whole lot left but I managed to spend about $40. fabric was half off and notions were 40% off but there really wasn't much left. I do have my name on a kit that is a Moose panel with Christmas ornaments hanging from his antlers, someone else had wanted it but hadn't bought it yet, I will know soon if I get it.

I also got a call from the people installing my furnace. They will be here Monday instead of Wednesday next week. My toes will thaw out and I will be overjoyed to be warm. I'm so grateful that I have a roof and walls around me.

Lois, I wanted to try those quilt rulers but don't know what to buy. I think I will let you give it a try first then if you like it I will check into it. And to think we could have become meteorologists, we can predict the weather as good as they can, sometimes even better.

Tina, hope you sleep better tonight. I'd like to get some sewing done but don't seem to get up and go to my room. Tomorrow Moose and I will give it a good cleaning and perhaps get something done.

Judi, hope the meal prep went well. There was a commercial where the lady was baking pillsbury biscuits from a can and she poofed a little flour in her hair and came out of the kitchen as if she had been working for hours. That would be the extent of my prep.

Maryz, Lee is good to have around for the reminders. That upper body class sounds interesting. I had thought about looking at yoga on youtube. I think it would be good for me. Glad the dino's are all tamed. I bet it's going to be adorable.

Valerie, nice to have that quilt done I bet. I'm not heading to Salinas until this fog clears. I have to be alive for Elliotts growing up. I'd much rather have rain than fog.

Lyn, you can keep the cherry pie, but if it was peach or apple I would have been there with a fork in one hand and vanilla ice cream in the other. Nice to have that recycling at the curb.

Jana, hope you got that milk and whatever else you needed and don't have to go out till next week. When dinner is good it's always better the next day, hope that was true for your lunch.

Maryq, I happen to love Brussel sprouts. But isn't it wonderful that we live in a country where we can pick and choose things like food, clothing, what we can read and believe. I'm sorry about all the junk going on everywhere. Mr. Rogers said to look for the helpers when there is a tragedy.

Lori, I do watch news, but it seems like they are not reporting real news on our local news channel. It's mostly the anchors bantering back and forth. The world news is more informative but it's the same story almost every night. frustrating. And 90% of the commercials are for accident attorneys. FB for me is what it's like for you. skip over the junk and look at quilting things. Sorry about that knot that won't go away. I'm sure you've tried everything.

Sorry about that, dad called, that sometimes takes a while. but I'm back.

So, dinner tonight was lunch. We had burgers at the Jamestown Frosty. I am not eating anymore today. Tomorrow the plan is to clean up my sewing room. But first, a shower. You all have a great night
